- The how the course structure is and proper course outline
- Great infrastructure, ac classroom, proper labs and library
- Faculties are excellent except for some subjects.
Dislikes
- Campus life and proper fest and lack of sports activity
- Functions and celebrations are very less
- There is no arrears system which means after you fail a subject in a semester u will have a chance for reexam and if you fail reexam you will hav to have a year back even if u just fail 1 subject
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very relevant and course has been well curated and made based on current market requirements. The course is very market oriented and helps student be what the market requires them to be. Exams are for midterms are conducted on 3 days for 6 subjects, 2 subjects per day and with a 5 min gap between the both
Internships Opportunities
So insternship is included in the curriculum after each year. After first yr NGO internship and after 2nd yr corporate internship. College just provides 1-2 opportunities. I worked for axis bank as an intern
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placements from semester 5 for our batch since its a 3 year course till our batch. Till now within 2 months of sem 5, 5 companies have visited offering packages between 6l to 8l Trestivia, verity, and few are coming in the coming 2 weeks. My plans after degree is to pursue ca The percentage of students getting placed is not known yet
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees 159000 Development fee 25000 Other 59000 Tutition 75000 Sbm nmims provides scholarship, central sector scholarships, mirae assest foundation scholarships for pg students for students whose family hav a lower annual income of 8 lakhs and have taken education loan. Management quoata to my knowledge is not available.
Campus Life
Overall campus life isnt much great, there are various clubs and committees which are very active and student can enter if interested. The infrastructure is very good whith ac classroom and round classroom The library also very good a good place to study and great availability of books and journals The digital library is also excellent containing various journals and also includes bloomberg certification
Hostel Facilities
Facilities in the room includes a bed, an almirah and heater Meal is just average, menu is all north indian and quality is also average Registering for hostel is done with admission in college, hostel is highly expensive.
Admission
Chosing this college over other colleges would be mainlu to because of the course structure the bcom hons course is very excellent course for ca aspirants but it maybe hard to manage ca along with college because of the projects and test which maybe get hectic to manage. I applied to symbiosis pune and noida and got in noida. and didnt choose it because of the location as i prefered Bangalore and nmims more. The admission process is pretty simple it is based on the npat scores which a quantitative, logical and english based aptitude exam.
Faculty
There is good amount of faculty, most of them are friendly and good in solving doubts. Exams are mainly there is a mid term and a end term for each semester, exams are pretty hard in general and requires proper preparation. The exam questions for subjects like cost management, finacial reporting standards, financial management comes from ca textbooks and ca question. The whole bcom hons course at nmims is ca oriented and helps students who want to pursue ca more easy by prcatically learning ca inter syllabus from semester 1.
