some faculty are experts in their respective fields
nice hostel rooms and competitive peer group

Dislikes

Very poor infrastructure. sports facilities are poorly mantained
lack of coding environment, no societies for such activities
lack of cultural events, no cultural fest was held in 2024

Campus Life

we have our cultural fest known as CULTRANG which was not held in 2024 we also have a tech fest known as CEPHEUS which was also not held in 2024 sports fest - CHAKRAVYUH was only fest held in 2024 (held in jan-feb) conditions of classrooms is also not good, no stable electricity, lack of tech knowledge (even to operate projectors) limited books in library poor sports facilities, no mantained ground to play.

Hostel Facilities

average mess food quality somewhat good hostel rooms no coolers allowed in rooms as they cost extra electricity double sharing rooms with 1 fan compulsory hostel stay to all undergraduate students hostel fee included in total fee

Admission

there we several other colleges where i applied these include IIT BOMBAY IIT DELHI IIT KANPUR however my marks in JEE ADVANCED allowed me IIT Goa only for admission here we have special councelling known as Josaa councelling this councelling only considers marks for your JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED and alots you colleges based on your preferences and cutoff's

Faculty

Very high faculty to student ratio as compared to other IIT's Some professors are very well versed in their fields whereas some know nothing about what they are teaching exams there is no specific pattern to them we have a semster for 5 months which include 1 mid semester examination and 1 end semester examination we have a lot of regular quizes as well

College is quite good nothing bad about it. The only thing is about fee this is very expensive.

Remarks:

Senior students who are placed in core companies do have lot of interactions with us. It enable us to build us in our field and how to develop ourselves to get placed in that company. They also provide lot of information about other companies from their experience.

Remarks:

Campus life was fun. Probably the most I remember from college days is the on campus life. How students sat in the center foyer and gossiped about life, faculties, exams, girls and stuff like that is the most cherished memory from college. Gender ratio was around 60% boys and 40% girls.

I got into this college based on my score at GCET (God common entrance examination) i opted for this college due to its well known facts of best faculties, proper attention towards individual students, Best infrastructure, Best location, Good transport etc.

Trusted experience of Iit goa

Many students has the doubt of selecting best branch or college, I would say going for the branch yeah it's true that high collages have high placements but it's doesn't guarantee uhhh to get a job uhh must have the best knowledge so gain the best knowledge is best course instead of low branch and then doing other courses. For admission in IITs I must be got 75% for general and 65% for sc,st or OBC category in board exam.I was clear my jee main with class12 (higher secondary) board exam.After the coming board result,I had eligibility for JEE ADVANCED .My JEE ADVANCED exam was not gone my expectations but I qualified JEE-ADVANCED exam....Read More

IIT Goa Review

Completing engineering from IIT is like a dream come true for every engineering student. IITs not only provide good placement but learning and the exposure and opportunities that we get is unimaginable. I also wanted to be part of IIT and I really worked hard for the GATE exam but frankly speaking, I am an average student and my GATE score was between 755 to 860 according to me ad my preference is IIT Goa was the best option. To be part of IIT Goa I need to clear the GATE exam that I did and I should have a minimum of 55% marks. My academic qualification was according to IIT Goa. During my research, I realize that IIT Goa fits into my preference not because it provides good placement but the college also has good research programs and good educational standards.
