Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is regularly updated as the industry changes. What attracted me is the bakery and pastry curriculum which is a step apart from other colleges.Teaching is done in a modern way using technology like google classroom. There are no physical notes given .Every piece of study material is available at a touch of a button.Exams are held at the end of every semester with internal assessments being held throughout each semester.Study tours are also a part of the teaching .

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Two internships are mandatory those are six weeks and six months. For six weeks we are placed in top notch restaurants and for six months we are placed in 5 star hotels in India and if we chose to abroad as well

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees for first year are 4lakh INR They increase by about 20 Thousand INR each year.At the beginning scholarships were mentioned for toppers but till now no one has availed them.I am currently in the third semester

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is amazing with lots of sports activities being held. There area many committees such as admissions, alumni, placements etc.Huge amount of books and online resources available in the library. There exists a student run bakery which sells products to the other students on the campus. Each classroom is outfitted with computers and projectors with great audio as well. There are 2 computer labs and one library on campus as well

Admission

I have applied to WGSHA Manipal and gotten acceptance.I got admission in SSCA after a rigorous testing and personal interview.Evey candidate below 25 years of age and who has secured 50% and alive in 12th is eligible for admission. I have chosen SSCA due its proximity to my home but I would have chosen it over any other college simply dues it's beautiful infrastructure including its state of the art one a kind studio kitchen

Faculty

4

The faculty at SSCA is always changing and the ones teaching the students are usually fresh out of the industry or have been professionally teaching for years. They are backed by experience.Lots of visiting faculty are also teaching who's are experts in their respective fields. The course structure is built in such a way that more emphasis is on internal marks and only one external takes place at the end of each semester

Interview Experience

4

I had two rounds one was a non proctored test and one was personal interview .For the test relevant questions to maths, culinary arts were asked. On the personal interview I was asked about my family background ,why I chose this college, and some basic questions regarding the industry and culinary arts

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very relevant and there is constant meetings to improve the same according to the recent trends. The projects and presentations assigned to students ensure that they are prepared for real world applications. The exams are semester wise as well as an online internal assessment. The difficulty level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I am very much fond of gaining technology knowledge. Our college faculties are good. They coordinate with the students. The teachers of this college are well educated. All the teachers had consumed higher education. Teaching methods are quite understandable for us. Every 2 to 3 months we have our term exams and it's like if you had studied well you will pass easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Choosing this course is very easy for me because my friends belong to the IT sector and they are doing very well in this after this you can go through mca and have high packages. The students are very good and very well dressed when the college starts the no of students is 130 but now they are some fewer because they are not doing very well the teachers teach very well and the staff is too good friendly behaviour. exams are going to be in the term section and if you are an insect in computer then you can really pass it with less learning.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 4 semesters. There are not many companies that visited our campus but in them some very good companies like Deloitte, Jio, etc. The highest package made was around 6 lakhs per year and the lowest was 3.5 lakh per year. The percentage of students getting placements is below average. My plan is to go for higher education after getting a degree.

1. The reason I chose my course was I wanted to become a military officer and going through the science stream will really help me in it. 2. 50 Students were there in my class. 3. Faculty and teaching method was overall average as teachers were highly qualified but their teaching methods were poor. 4. Exams were conducted 4 times in a year Unit 1, Semester 1, Unit 2, Semester 2 and there were average difficulties.

Placement Experience:

At the time of the second year, students are sent for internships at different hotels to improve their skills and give them an idea about how the industry works. Mostly 70-80% of students get placements and others come up with a restaurant of their own. After this degree, I would like to work under a hotel and reach an honored position and open my own outlets of restaurants.
