- RNSIT excels in academic environment with several VTU ranks
- RNSIT has decent infrastructure when compared to other colleges but has all kinds of lab equipments for student's understanding of subjects
- RNSIT has good encouragement for projects and internships and also lead for good placement oppurtunities for the students
Dislikes
- RNSIT does have 2 playgrounds but both of it are not available all of the time as they are mostly occupied by the school children
- Buildings of RNSIT are quite old and can be seen in places where the building have tiles falling off from the wall
Course Curriculum Overview
As far as my batch is concerned it comes under VTU so most of the curriculum ,subjects ,labs ,projects ,mini-projects ,holidays ,internals and all other aspects are decided and taken in action by the VTU university.The college has now become autonomous and i do not have much information on that yet.
Internships Opportunities
RNSIT has good internship oppurtinities with most companies offering PPO's for students. The professors here have great connections with huge number of top companies to provide the students internship oppurtinities. Stipends are not available for all internships but if available they are of decent figures.RNSIT has a research forum dedicated to support student to build projects with financial support of upto 30k for the building of a project.
Placement Experience
RNSIT is known for its placement oppurtunities and also has a very good alumni network for better job offers.Several top companies visit the college each year. The average package for CSE is around 6LPA and the highest is 52LPA as of now. a very good percentage of around 80% students get placed. There also instances where students have multiple job offers in hand. College has great support for further studies and also provides help for foreign Studies of the student.I currently have to decide on what to do after my bachelors.
Fees and Financial Aid
RNSIT is known for good placements and internship oppurtunities. The fee and scholarships as far as my batch is concerned is also determined by the decsions of the VTU univerisity. The college always supports any reputed scholarship to fund the college fee. RNSIT does not have any extra expenses except exam fee unless the obvious tuition fee of college
Campus Life
RNSIT has quite a few number of fests held each year of both technical as well cultural fests.Fests of RNSIT attract people from several other colleges. RNSIT has many clubs students can take part in, infact there are all kinds of clubs which are sports, social works, technical ,waste management ,cultural, music band and many other clubs. RNSIT has a huge library with A/C amenities and large collection of books of any topic you want.RNSIT also has great achievement in sports as well which comes with great support by the college for sport activities.
Admission
Eligibilty of the courses happen through the rank of entrance exams such KCET, COMEDK and other such related exams. RNSIT has quite good cutoff for the top branches.So, we have 3 internal examinations known as Continous Internal Evaluation(CIE) and one Semester End Examination (SEE) per semester which is quite manageable.College also has reservations which are from the entrance exams you write both in caste category as well as financial category.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is around 50:1 at RNSIT, and faculty here are very supportive and very easily approachable.Faculty here very good deep knowledge of their particular subject and clarify doubts instantly and if not possible clear it out through phone call or text messages.Very friendly faculty
