I took online entrance test which usually had one mark questions of basic physics and English. Then i had my interview and few basic questions were asked i was told that i am selected. I opt for this college because it is the best college in chennai when it comes to placement.

Course structure is somewhat ok. Mainly practical classes are included. In first two years we had basic engineering subjects. But overall education is not good. Till now only two related subject to marine engineering has been included and research is very low in college and it need to Change the exam pattern also.

Multiple national companies comes to amet companies like Maersk Goodwood, Chevron and Shell usually comes and take cadets. Internship is usually not given.

Placement is really very good. Cadets are placed in the first year itself as a marine engineer. Companies like Maersk Goodwood, Chevron and Shell, CGM, NYK comes to AMET. Overall placement is really very good out of 200 nearly 80 to 90 cadets are placed.

We usually have Republic day, independent day, science day. Every month we have department programs. And even our college participate in various cultural programs. Every department have their own program once in a year. Festivals like pongal, holi, onam, deepavali is celebrated.

Fees structure is too high and even though fees is high infrastructure and teaching services is very bad. We need to pay 350000 every year. And if we pay fees late they will give fine on us of, 5000. It's too expensive. And exam fees is to be paid separately. Others things like uniform, books, medical every includes in the fees structure.

Scholarship is given to sc/st caste students. Even Muslims are also given. Students those who get top rank are also given scholarship. Loan facilities is also available. But like other college scholarship is not that much good.

Campus life is ok.as it is marine college girls are very less. May be 2or 3 will be seen. No parties are allowed in campus not even freshers party. Cultures is some what good. Every month we have programs. There in no problem in religion, caste all the boys are friends.

Hostel is very bad. Each room has 4 students and room size is also small. Bathrooms are not cleaned properly. And wifi is provided in hostels for all students. Mess food is somewhat ok. It is fully South Indian food and taste is not that much great. But everyday variety of food is available.

Senior students are very helpful though we have not met them many times. Seniors help us in our academics and tell us about various companies which come to our college.

Exam structure is fine here. We usually have 40 marks internal and 60 mark exam. And enough gap is given to prepare for the next exam usually 1day gap. Results are also published early. We have CAT exams then model examination and then final exam. Pattern is we have 2×10=20, 5×6=30 and 10×5=50.

I came to know about this college through my friends. Then i applied for the entrance exam online. And then i went there and exam was conducted and medical examination was also conducted and at evening they told me i am selected for the course and they told me to pay advance fees to confirm the seat.

Faculty usually comes late to the class and they are not able to speak fluent English and they teach in Tamil which is a problem for other states students. Chief engineer takes class for third year and final year. They have very good knowledge of the subjects.
