Likes
- the students studing in this college will have more freedom rather than other colleges
- the attendance is not mandatory so that we can atten interns without any permission from the college. but if we ask college permission they will not allow you to atten any kind of interns or competitions
- the students can conduct culturals and symposium based on the students interest. Note: management will not provide any money.
Dislikes
- there is no placement assistant in this college
- the infrastructure is average and the computer labs will have only 20 to 25 systems for 40 students
- there is no support for the sports students from the management. If the students wants to go to a competition representing the college team the management will not provide any accomodation or entry fee to participate.
Course Curriculum Overview
if you are interested to work with realtime softwares and create softwares and application or you want to work in IT field you can choose Cse. im interested in IT field so i have choosen CSE as my course. this program taught me a good knowledge about the it infrastructure and the software tools in current it industry. how the program works and all the things related to it and management. the minus is the program is filled with most of theoritical part. the course could be better if it has more practical part aswell.
Placement Experience
there is no placement offered in this college. after completion of cource you have to search yourself for a job. i have completed my B.E CSE in june 2024 and todat is 17 July 2024 i didn't get any job. you have to work hard and learn some skills to enter into an off campus placement. so plan according to it from the 1st yr.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees structure is pretty good comparedto other engineering colleges in chennai. i had around 70000 per year as fees. there are more scholarships and financial support for every students likle SC/ST scholarship, first graduate etc.
Campus Life
yes. my campus life is fully filled with fun. there are some sports teams in college like cricket, kabbadi and football if you are a sports player you can join those teams. 1 month before i complete my course my department introduced a coding club. i doesnt know must about it because its my last days of my college so i cannot participate in it.
Admission
if you have took science group with maths you are eligible for this course. application form, fees, and dates will be fopund in college website "mce.edu.in". there is no entrance exam for joining this college.
Faculty
As I'm a CSE student the faculties in the CSE department are well and good in teaching. They will provide you assistance at anytime. They will not hesitate to assist you about the academic syllabus or any projects that you are doing on your own. If you want to learn or know anything new or wanted to discuss anything they will support you with their knowledge about the topic.
