Anshul Kumar's Review On Quantum School Of Technology - [QST], Roorkee

I took the AIEEE exam in 2008 and scored 48 marks and 4410 state rank. At that time in 2008,there was no facility of online counselling.

I chose B.tech in ECE which was and is a 4 years course.Though in the first year of engineering the curriculum is usually common for all branches but i personally felt that the faculty we got in the first year itself was the best in terms of clearing our silly doubts and timely completion of syllabus with being supportive all throughout the semester and probably that was the reason that our college result was the best among all the well known colleges under Uttarakhand Technical University.

We had the industrial internship in 2nd year and 3rd year,so thats when we for the first time had a practical view of all what we studied so far. The internship curriculum was usually of 30 -45 days this was a pretty interesting phase of my engineering.I got a chance to do internship in a vendor company at Selaqui,Dehradun. Everyday there was a chance for you to learn more and i was glad to see how much hard work and dedication a company puts in to attract and please its customers.

The annual college function was named "Dharohar" and it was really exciting period because you are away from all your classes and you have chance to show your skills,talent and pursue your extra curricular activities.In addition to this annual function a tech fest is also organizedwhere you can participate in various technical events and compete with other colleges students too. An annual sports fest UDAAN is also a part of the college where different sports events are organized.

The college gives initial scholarships upto 20k in the first year based on the marks the student scores in the physics,chemistry and maths in 12th class.I was lucky to have got 10k scholarship as i had scored over 75% in pcm in 12th.

The campus life has certainly improved from our time of admission .The campus has developed and a new cafetaria has been opened which serves the staff and students all throughout the day plus you get a lush green campus all around you. The gender ratio is quite good and there is a friendly atmosphere all around. There is no discrimination made based on caste,creed or religion.

As i mentioned our batch was the founder batch so we were not lucky enough to have the support of seniors or any alumni but we surely got a chance to guide our juniors being seniors.
