Likes

The best part about my college life in Pragjyotish College is my department (Anthropology). One of the best department.
The faculties of my department and some other departments.

Dislikes

There is no separate play ground for students.
The auditorium is small and it feels congested and also the college campus is small.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually now its NEP, so I should say that its somehow good but up to 3rd semester we have to study 7 subjects (Major, Minor 1, Minor 2, AEC, MDC, VAC, SEC) which is huge for us. For example, I'm a 2nd semester science student having Anthropology as major and Zoology and Chemistry as minor and during my 1st semester I had EVS as my VAC and Humanities and Social Sciences (Modern Makers of Assam) as MDC; and now I have Trade and Commerce in India as my VAC and Humanities and Social Science ( Democracy and People's Right). And my friends Humanities have to study subjects like Natural Science, Earth Science, etc. Literally I'm wandering as a science student why I've to study Humanities and Commerce.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 6500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

For graduation the fees is around 6500 for BA, BSc. And for BCom, BCA, BBA is ranges around 8000-1000 because these courses are self-financed. But for fee waiver, the fees are much lesser. We must have Income Certificate for fee waiver.

Campus Life

I must say the overall experience is good because it is a government college. The infrastructure is good but we lack in proper playground for sports like football, cricket, hockey, etc. but we do have basket ball court. And yes, we do have different clubs, like music clubs and all. And also we have Red Ribbon Club, NSS, NCCs, etc.

Admission

For graduation the eligibility criteria is 10+2 from any recognized board. And there is no any entrance exams and the selection is done on the basis of merit, marks of 10+2. And for the reservation, its similar like other colleges for SC, ST the cut-off marks of 10+2 is much lower than General or OBC.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:30. We have around 130 faculties and around 4000 students. The faculties are highly qualified. I like the faculties of my department (anthropology) more because they are really supportive.

Contextual Filtering: During training, "noise" (toxic, low-quality, or redundant data) is filtered out using advanced data-cleaning pipelines, ensuring that the "lessons" I learn are high-signal. 2. Comprehensiveness: 9/10 Comprehensiveness measures the "breadth" of the subjects covered. The Peaceful journey of a important chapter of life

Placement Experience:

The placements were smooth and easy, although small companies approached for the placement and the packages were not too much still it was fine. Companies like ICICI Bank, IFFCO TOKIO, BAJAJ, MARUTI approached. The percentage of students getting placement was low around 15-20 percent. My plans after degree is to start preparing for civil services exam

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love computer. And in future I want to be a developer so opt this integrated cource that will complete by BSC and MSC in one go . The respected teachers and senior will also help me in my difficulties as well . The and internships that are provided will also work as a part of experience . The learning experience will be much better then every classrooms are provided with smartboards . AC will be also a good option as the students have to travel for 1hr in bus before the class starts . The semester happens twice every year and 2-3 internals are conducted as well before each semester. Though the exams aren't that hard as it is mostly based on classwork.

A comprehensive review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I like Mathematics & Physicss and I want to know more about the subject the course. The faculty is very supportive And helpful. The faculty members are all qualified MSC and PhD in Mathematics. They are very good teachers. Besides the semester examination, there are some class tests held by the faculty. As the subject is very informative the students studied hard to pass the exam.

My opinions on PRAGJYOTISH COLLEGE

I was preparing for competitive exams like JEE and CUET , but they didn't work out and most of the colleges like Cotton , B Borah and all dosent provide BSc in computer science. I didn't got a rejectection , but the seat was completely filled by the time i got there. The process for getting admission is : After class 12 results, you have to apply in a website called Samarth , to apply in all over Assam colleges. You can apply in how many you like . In some colleges you can take addmission through JEE scores , or by CEE And by CUET also . The cutoffs aren't much high for this college, 60-70% will get you addmission in Pragjyotish college.
