Hostel area is not good. Old building not renovate well
Here wifi problem. Phone signal is not working properly.
Hostel food is also not a good.nd hostel room also not constructed well.

Course Curriculum Overview

I'm choosing this course bcz I'm interested in environment nd today's time environment and climate is major topic. Teacher faculty is good and chill nd student teacher ratio is overall good. All teachers is scientist and nice faculty members. Exam is not difficult if you learn properly.

Class Size: 44Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Placement Experience

After 3rd semester, students are eligible for placement; they have good resumes, and they provide every student placement. 80% students get placement in this course. Higher placement package is 10 lac. Last semester students will get placement by company

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are 90k Because it's a govt. University nd after clearing the exam, its fee structure is high. And scholarship is not provided by University but placement is offered by the campus. It is good for everyone.

Campus Life

Campus is good and peaceful environment sportsmeet is held on one semester and cultural week is held on one semester. all interested students participate and enjoy the festival programme.classroom is good nd having AC in every class room provide all essential things .

Hostel Facilities

This one is not good hostel is not good at all. Some room is not good nd some room is better condition nd hostel food also not good at all . But facility is good if something is damage they provide as soon as possible.

Admission

First you applied for the test nd choose which course you want to apply. After applying you received a mail of examination date nd mock test details. Test is computer based. If you cleared the test ur name is come in selected list result nd waiting list also. Application form is available in FRI site. application process is. Offline you make draft nd post in FRI deemed University address. Yes I want to change its application process, if the application process is online it is easy for all.

Faculty

Teachers and professor are so nice . Their behaviour to student is so professional and nice. They teach is very politely and they have good knowledge. Faculty member for each course is nice to every student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always been interested in research field that is why i chose the masters in science and that from chemistry subject which is a major research subject. As well DBS pg college dehradun provide a good laboratory facility for lab-course and labs work occur continuously throughout the weak . There are total 13 faculties and other side staffs in chemistry department for 21 Students in msc. Faculties are highly qualified almost all have done their PhD and have 10 years of experience in teaching, but not all the techers can be good right similar is the case here, some of the professors are really good and take classes regularly but some are very lazy , you have to prepare everything by yourself, they don't even provide proper content as per the syllabus. In masters two internals exams including lab, assignment and presentation and one external exam is held which is not easy to pass if you don't study regularly, as syllabus of post graduation is hard and humongous.

There is no placement provided by the college. Most of the students prefer to prepare for agriculture or horticulture jobs. Some go for PhD. Many choose to start their own business with agriculture like beekeeping, dairy production, mushroom cultivation, lac culture, floriculture etc.

Remarks:

Our college is very good teachers are good good students are also good but some students who has political support destroy college environment. There is is only one negative remark about our college is, they does not provide any job interviews & internships that many students wants.

Not bad

Remarks:

The management system is not good even they don't think about our safety one day my lecture is in forestry lab and. There are 2 fans in lab one of the fan fall at the time of lecture but luckily we are not injured, so its big mistake of management of the institute . There is no dustbins on classrooms. No proper rooms for study. When I complain about rooms they said we can't do anything. Im very disappointed at that time.

The study here can be a boon or a bane, depending on your perception

Excellent campus

In the past FRI was considered the temple of Forestry. I think it was because of some reason. Reason could be the management, administration and quality students. I'm hopeful that if quality students are provided with best management and administration, then it can regain it's old reputation. They will have to be a bit more serious for quality syllabus as well as faculty. Seriousness is not just limiting attendence to 75% or more. A forester's dream

Let's start with the negative remarks. The attendance policy is something that needs to be changed. The scope for research and extra curricular activities gets hampered due to the attendance policy. The hostel facilities needs to be improved and certain hostel regulations needs to be changed.
