Remarks

The college overall has a good vibe around it. Its still an upcoming college and has progressed really well in the 18 years of its running. Good faculties, good infrastructure and encouragement and remedial classes provided to weaker students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is as per Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU). And the university continuously strives to upgrade its syllabus with the current industry trend. Other than the course curriculum, students are encouraged to be a part of student projects under a professor or research guide. Student projects form an integral part of students developing into professionals and that is something our college encourages us to do.

Placement Experience

3.5

If you are looking for an IT job you'll be receiving plenty of opportunities thanks to IT parks set up in the vicinity of the college. For core subject aspirants, placements will be a little rough but the placement cell promises to do everything in their power for eligible candidates. As per VTU curriculum internship is mandatory. Most students work with HAL while others can opt for industries.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Comedk Fees: 1,50,000/- per year College fees: approximately 25,000/- per year with minor fluctuations. VTU examination fees: 1250/- per semester So my total education cost came roughly to 7 lakh for 4 years. It is wayyy cheaper for CET students but I didn't have 7 years stay in Bangalore.

Fees and Financial Aid

CMR awards are available to students who are economically unstable and yet meritorious. The awards are for: * leadership * sports * academics

Campus Life

5

Campus life is decent. If one is into sports, the sports department is really enthusiastic and encouraging. Lab assistants are really helpful and the facilities provided are good. As mentioned earlier, there are various student clubs which conduct technical events throughout the year.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are extremely friendly. They provide insights into placements, campus events, studies abroad and internships too. Very often they come as the recruiting officer to college.

Admission

I was admitted into CMRIT based on my COMEDK rank and preference. I wanted to do mechanical and CMRIT is in the hub of Bangalore flooded with industries. My admission process was smooth, I got my seat allotted in mid-May and the next day I went to college and confirmed my seat. I had to submit my 10th and 12th mark sheets in originals at the college along with the course fee for a year. And college would start by August 1st, 2015.

Faculty

4

All of our professors have an MTech degree and relevant industrial experiences. In fact, we have a few professors who've received grants to carry out projects from government agencies. There are professors who've done their studies from the eminent IITs and IISc. Professors have good subject knowledge and do everything in their power to help the student.

Teaching should be changed actually most of the faculty do the ppt reading. I would say that clad training for placements are really good. They put their effort to make us prepared. Timings would be 3hrs for semester end exam and 2hrs for mid examinations.

In the 6th, 7th and 8th sem students can able to attend the campus placement. So many companies will be visiting for campus placement. Around 50-100 companies will be visiting every year. 85% of the students will be getting placements. My plan after getting a degree is to work in an MNC company as a web developer.
