MRCET College Review

The curriculum is a bit messy and congested. One semester is only fixed for like 4 to 5 months only. It could be extended for 6 months. Few curriculum like the CRT sessions are conducted well. The teaching methods are good. But there are no industrial visits for students.

From 4th semester the students are eligible for the placements process. There are lot many companies which have hired the students from our college. Accenture,Dell, Tech Mahindra and many more companies conducted placement drives. Approximately 70to 80% students are getting placed from our college. As I am currently in 3rd year, I have started my placement preparation and if in case I don't get a job then I am planning to go for higher studies in abroad.

The fee structure for year 2021- ECE branch was fixed to 1 lakh per year for the management students and for scholarship students it is 65,000 per year.The current studying students has a fee of 6 to 7 lakh for 4 years. The bus fee is 40,000. The government scholarship is applicable to students joining through eamcet which is an amount of 35,000. The college conducts programs for students for their better understanding,better skills and knowledge. I have participated as coordinator for code infinity program conducted by ECE branch.

The annual day is conducted every year in April. Tech-fest i.e., the technical and non technical events are conducted for 2 days in the month of February. Freshers and Farewell are conducted for 1st years and 4th years respectively. There is a library and it has thousands of books in all subjects which help students prepare for semester exams, other entrance exams also. There is a smart board in every classroom for the students of CSE,AIML,IT branches as it helps them for programming languages. The labs are also maintained and but the hardware equipments are not up to the mark. The smart boards should be kept for other branch students also which is a drawback. The sports events are conducted but the management doesn't encourage much for students going to outside college events.

There is an in-campus hostel provided by the college. The hostel fee when I joined in 2021 was 60,000 and now for 2023 it is 90,000. For 2024 it might increase to 1,05,000.It increases 15,000 every year.It is well maintained but the fees is too high which is not worthy with respect to the food. The rooms are clean, everyday swept and mopped by the workers but in regard with the food the campus hostel in not worthy. After joining the college if you are interested in campus hostel then we have to fill a hostel form and submit to the college as well hostel management.

I have joined through TS EAMCET exam. The total marks for eamcet are 160 and one should score above 40 to qualify and the cut-off mark for our college was 80. The admission process was through counseling. The college didn't receive the students properly during the admission process and we had to search for everything. There was no separate entrance exam for college. The management could have interacted with students properly.

The faculty are good. They explain things at ease. Not all faculty are same but most of them are friendly and interactive with students. They organise programs, one to one interactions, lab hours and many.
