Remarks

Alumni base is very strong. Non-core branches have given some high placements but core branches suffer. The infrastructure of the college and the building is bad. Labs are not properly maintained. There is the scarcity of staff.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course and curriculum are well structured and divided into 8 semesters and four years for all the different branches. Academic departments pay special attention to this. The course is the same for all the branches in 1st yr. A year is divided into two semesters. Each semester has two sets of exams. One is the mid-semester in which half of the course is asked in the exam. Other is the end semester in which the course of the whole semester is asked.

Placement Experience

3.5

No, there is no such opportunities for an internship at our college. This is a disadvantage for the students of the college. We need to put extra efforts to get internship elsewhere. We have to do this on our own. Placements are good. Placements are excellent for some non-core branches like chemical engineering, oil technology, and paint technology. Core branches have to suffer as their placements rates are not high.

College Events

3

There is a fest organized per year. Adhyaay was organized in 2018-19, oddysey in 2017-18 etc. These are the techno-cultural fests of our college. AME is organized for the students of mechanical engineering branch. A sports fest is also organized. A sports fest is also organized.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. It is not much expensive. The fee is less as compared to some other engineering colleges. There are scholarships for poor students whose annual family income is less than 2 lakhs per annum. The Fee structure is affordable for the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are not many scholarships. There is a scholarship for poor students whose annual family income is less than 2 lakhs in the case of general category students and 2.5 lakhs in the case of reserved category students.

Campus Life

1.5

Labs are poor. Infrastructure is bad. They lack staff and equipment. Extracurricular activities are limited. only one fest is organized in one year. Clubs lack proper funding. So they can't be handled well. Seniors try level best to make clubs. Many sports activities are organized.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are way better than the infrastructure of the main college. Hostels for the first year are well built, airy, spacious with proper cleanliness. Hostels look beautiful from outside. Facilities in hostel depend on how the workers do their job. Facilities in hostel depend on how the workers do their job.

Alumni/Alumna

Being a very old college, it has a vast alumni network. It is helpful in many ways. Alumni network has helped a lot in placements. Seniors provide a helping hand in academics as well as in other fields.

Admission

I got admission here through separate counseling. Earlier admission was done through upto counseling. Now it has become autonomous and takes admission through Jee mains through separate counseling by preparing its own rank list. Most of the professors are highly qualified with good teaching skills.

Faculty

3

Most of the professors are highly qualified with good teaching skills thus bettering the academic level of the college. They are very particular towards their subject and studies. However, there are few who are not good at teaching. This is a disadvantage for the students of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The influence is obviously job opportunities in future. I would say that you have to learn alot of skills on your own as well for real World applications and further academic pursuits as the college does provide labs etc. but the course structure is kinda old. So yeah you have to learn alot of skills to become a job ready engineer.

The placements of the college are okay, since my placement drive started during the recession. Somewhere around 90 companies visited the campus. The highest package offered was 28lpa. The average package, based on my personal experience was around 4lpa. I would say more that 70% of the students received an offer. My plans after getting the degree was to get a job.
