World class facilities

The college is excellent in terms of management, the infrastructure it provides, the faculty availed to students, the guidance given and the kind of coaching that is provided to the students in terms of preparing them to face the corporate world. A single remark on the college which in my personal opinion is a setback is the location of the college which is a very remote area in one of the villages at Attingal, which is in the district of Thiruvananthapuram. Though there is transport facility availed to the students with state of the art hostel facilities for accommodation, the place is of great difficulty for students that access the college privately on a day to day basis. However, considering the perfection of the college in every other aspect, this particular setback is probably negligible. The college can be rated 9/10 on a scale where 1 is very bad and 10 is excellent. There is nothing that a student here would not be satisfied with.

Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology is affiliated to A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) which is an excellent university with the highly updated syllabus and constant review of the latest trends in the corporate world. The curriculum focuses on training the MBA aspirants to step out into the corporate world as full-fledged professionals. It focuses on not just enlightening the students on the theoretical aspects, but also on the practical applicability of the theoretical knowledge such that the students will be excellent in both theoretical knowledge as well as have a hands-on experience in the corporate world. The curriculum strongly maintains an updation in trends at par with the Indian Institute of Management. The curriculum emphasizes on 2 months of a compulsory corporate internship as a part of it, so as to equip the students in having knowledge of the corporate world and it's functioning, so that no one leaves the college a fresher, but a professional with hands-on experience in working with the corporate world.

Placements at Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology is operated by a fully specialized placement wing consisting of 2 faculty placement coordinators, and 8 student placement coordinators, especially for the students of business administration. This wing is fully functional and starts its work with full zeal right from when the companies are open to campus recruitments. Apart from this, the placement committee occasionally hosts placement drives at the campus with more than 30 companies attending the drive to recruit more than 300 students from various colleges across India each time. The placement cell is extremely functional and works with a commitment to achieve 100% placement of the students of Rajadhani Business School. The best companies in India visit the campus for recruitment every year, like UST Global, Infosys, Earnest, and Young etc., opening door to wide opportunities for the students of Rajadhani to be placed in various roles of these companies with a salary package offered to be the best in campus placements. Considering a large number of companies that visit the campus for recruitments, students are chosen not only on the basis of academic performance but also on other parameters like core competencies, communication skills, willingness to learn and perform, etc.

Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology is always open to bringing out the extracurricular talents residing in its students. Various events are conducted every year attaining 100% participation from the students of the institute. The events are conducted by both the engineering as well as the management students thereby achieving participation from both the sides to and fro. A national level management fest "le emperor" is conducted by Rajadhani every year with national level participation from more than 100 colleges, to whom cash prizes of more than 5 lakhs are awarded. This is an event conducted exclusively by the students of Rajadhani Business School. There will be various games organized by students of different specializations such as finance game, HR game, marketing game, treasure hunt etc. It is a two-day event with the first day being completely cultural and the second day being the conduction of these games and the awards distribution. Notable chief guests such as Shri. Shashi Tharoor has visited the campus for this event. Apart from this, "Zerron" is a cultural event conducted every year by the students of Rajadhani which is a fun-filled festive event bringing all the students into the mood of exhibiting their extracurricular talents in full zeal every year. Apart from this, "itiha" is an all India tech-fest event conducted by the students of Rajadhani which is off campus. Popular bands such as Thaikkudam Bridge has visited this event. Further, the birthday of Steve Jobs is celebrated as an innovation day wherein students compete with innovative ideas to be judged by professionals from various MNCs and award them with cash prizes.

The fee structure is absolutely feasible, considering the current market price of an MBA degree in various other colleges across the country. The fee is collected on a trimester basis and the college is highly supportive in establishing assistance to students to avail student loans from various banks. The college provides ample time for the students to pay their fee and it can be done in installments. Further, for students with financial difficulties under reasonable excuses, the college provides an ample time period to remit the fee. The transport fee is completely justified considering the Air Conditioned, luxury buses provided by the institution and the distance it covers. The tuition fee is absolutely worth considering the world-class facilities and excellent infrastructure provided by the institution, right from air-conditioned classes to the high technology influenced learning methods adopted by the institution to give its students the best learning experience.

A large number of scholarships are provided to the students of Rajadhani Business School, the sister concern of Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology. A few of which are, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Scholarship for meritorious students, Fair and Lovely Foundation Scholarship etc. Each year, students performing academically excellent are provided a wide range of scholarships ranging from Rs. 10,000 per year to an overall scholarship of around Rs. 30,000. A large number of banks avail loan facility to students of Rajadhani Business School. Further, the college has tie-ups with various banks to avail the student's loan so as to assist them in achieving a masters degree hassle free. Currently, 80% of the students of my batch have availed education loans from various banks such as State Bank of India, Federal Bank, Axis Bank etc. The college is extremely supportive in assisting the student in obtaining loans from the banks to remit the fee.

An excellent hostel facility is provided by the college with fully ventilated and spacious rooms and all the necessary furniture. Four-bed rooms are available with a common washroom or two-bedrooms with an attached washroom. Each of these rooms come equipped with a single study table, an easy chair, a cot, a huge cupboard with the key, and a fan per student. Further, a common study room is available with benches and chair, and the hostel is inside the campus, with a strong signal of unlimited wifi connection. Further, there is a gym with all the necessary equipment separately for boys and girls. A common TV room is available for the entertainment of the students. There is a store selling necessities within the campus whereby hostelers can purchase items and a restaurant 100 meters away from the campus which delivers food 24 hours a day. Both AC and non AC rooms are available for the students to be chosen at their will. 2 wardens will be available and are of great help and provide immense assistance and care for the students residing at the hostel. The mess facility is available from 8 am to 9 pm for both hostelers as well as day scholars. A wide variety of highly hygienic, veg as well as nonveg food is provided to students as per their choice. However, hostelers are provided 4 meals a day breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks and finally dinner. Fish is provided twice a week and egg is provided once a week, chicken twice a week. A wide variety of cuisines such as Indian, Chinese etc. is provided. Four top class chefs from various parts of India are employed for the canteen and the mess.

A special wing operates within the campus to maintain the network of alumni every year. The college gives immense importance to maintaining a strong connection with the graduate students of the institution. Almost all of them being well placed with various MNCs and in notable positions, they contribute a great deal to enhance the placement opportunities for the existing students of the institution. Most of the companies that visit the campus for recruitment has done so because of the remarkable performance of the senior students and the alumni in that particular company which glorified the name of the institution and the existing students. The alumni network is extremely useful also in terms of training the existing students and making them well equipped for the corporate world, on the basis of their personal experience. They visit the college regularly to enlighten the students on various trends prevailing in the job market and many more. They serve to be a great source of inspiration and act as role models to the existing students.

An all Kerala entrance examination KMAT has to be enrolled and attended in order to join the institute. Minimum 50% in KMAT entrance exam is required to be qualified to join Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology, apart from a minimum of 60% compulsory to be scored in the undergraduate degree. Once this eligibility is met, the candidate can visit the college with proof of the same, and request a seat. Upon review of the eligibility and other formalities, the admission wing would provide a date and time to attend the group discussion and personal interview at a prescribed slot. This has to be attended by the candidate wherein the panel of judges would review the candidate both personally through an interview, as well as check their communication ability through a group discussion with fellow candidates. Upon completion, based on the marks scored as an average of both the personal interview as well as the group discussion, students performed average and above average will be selected to be admitted in Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology. There will be a personal meeting with the director of the institute wherein the details of classes beginning and other details would be disclosed.

Excellent faculties are provided by the institute with each of them possessing a minimum qualification of masters in their area of expertise. However, most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders or aspirants to the doctoral degree. The HoD is a doctoral degree holder in Human Resources Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and the director is a doctoral degree holder in strategic management from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Apart from this, the department of business administration has a faculty-student counselor who holds a masters in psychology, apart from a philosophical degree in accounting. Each of the specializations has 4 faculties each specialized in that particular area of specialization, being either master or doctoral degree holders or aspirants. Moreover, a special faculty is available in the library for book referral who is a master degree holder in library management. She helps in the apt referral of books. Further, a guide faculty is available for the project purpose to assist in statistical measurements. The faculty to student ratio is 1:30, whereby personal attention is provided to every student while delivering lectures and clearing doubts. The faculty is highly helpful and are never hesitant to assist the students in any situation.
