Beyond the Brochure: My Honest Thoughts on Lamrin Tech Skills University

The main reason behind choosing this University is they have btech cse ibm program , The program is decided into 3 parts 2.5 + 0.5 + 1 , they say that after 2.5 year they will help students to find internship and the final year will be in industry.

We don't know till now but university says that they will provide internships and live projects also , IBM ICE is there academic partner so I think we will have great opportunity of getting internship

Our batch is second batch of this department but the university assured that students will be having an internship in sixth semester and inseventh and eighth semester students will be working in industry

The fees for the course is 1,50,000 per year And they also provide loan and the program is non -funded fee based partnership under the scheme for market led fee based course b.tech cse ibm program ,

We are the second batch so our freshers party was organised by students themselves they contributed 500 rs per head and celebrated, there was like no involvement of university in it , the fest was called SHRIJANAM , university celebrated Punjabi festival and doesn't pay much attention to most hindu festivals like Ganesh chaturthi, Navmi, navratri and they also don't give holiday on that days , the overall management is very bad , They have sport ground, They have established various clubs but doesn't pay attention to it,

The meal quality is bad and the menu is also not much good , low maintenance and hostel gates closes at 10 , guard doesn't allow to go out side in the campus after that , non AC and AC rooms are available with double sharing

Admission process was good. Talking about the criteria Like first we should have above 60 percentage in boards and then an exam was conducted through the ltsu . Questions was moderate level .then you will be provided with a options between which specialization you want in cse (ai/data science/iot/cyber security). Then the college will take your interview.and then if you got selected then you can join the college . Application fees was off 1000 rs. There was not any reservation benefits.it was only for Punjab students.timing was only for 1hour. The area where improvement require is in the examination papers ...

In my experience the teaching staff has been supportive and friendly, this has been a great learning experience so far . The lectures are always willing to assist. Especially English communication classes has been a great contributor to the development of my personality
