Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

My course is Mechanicaland I proudly say it is the best branch overall as it deals with real and hardware problems, it makes us think more on it, which in turn brings innovative ideas in students. There was very less focus on practical learning. We were not exposed to enough practical experiments, etc. Ya am glad that our institute did take many initiatives to boost up research. We were independence to choose our elective...but the subject was limited to only 3/4 subjects.

Internships Opportunities

No college didnt provide any internship and our new principal do not encourage internship. They do not let us to do private projects and do not provide half-day leave for an internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no any placement at our college. In pool placements few got placed may be around20%.The software companies like TCS and many more. The average package is 1.9-2.5lpa.

College Events

2.5

There were many technical, cultural, sports events organized by our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees were affordable when compared to other colleges. We paid 56000 as college fees, in which 15000 was college fees and the rest was KCET fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

College didn't provide any scholarship but Karnataka govt did.No as our income was high I couldn't apply for the scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No am not residing in the hotel. As far I know the hostel environment is the worst, the rooms are not cleaned well and the rooms are filled with bedbugs. The rooms were on a sharing basis. Ya, there are many private PG near to college. Hostel fees were about ?30000-40000..depending on veg/nonveg. The food quality is not good, not fit for eating.

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with alumni is good and college did even organize alumni but not to that level. No there is no contribution from alumni.

Faculty

3

We have the total of 16 faculties and all are well qualified but they are not that much experienced in teaching. They are quite good interactive, they provide as much information as possible even as they provide information about general topics. The standard of teaching is quite ok (good).

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.

Placement Experience:

MIT Manipal Placements starts at around 6th semester as atleast the training and all starts. So final interviews and all starts for us in the 7th semester and before entering 8th or the final semester most of the placements are already done. I still wants to pursue masters as our university has tie-ups with American universities and our course skills can be bettered with masters is what I feel.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.
