This college is ragging free and antiragging committee monitors every where
great library facility.It can sustain over 3000 students in ane building
It is inside the city which help us easily accessible to outside

Dislikes

The hostel food and facilities are a bit poor
No ac anywhere other than library and nvcti
the culture here is that we must call our seniors sir/madam and wish them wherever we see which is a bit uncomfortable in the beginning but as you grow close to your seniors,it is very cool.

Course Curriculum Overview

As of now all the courses had a strong influence on my specialization.The exams were comparitively difficult as of other institutes i have seen and the valuation is fare.The group discussions and seminars held help us very much in building good skills. Faculty are well qualified and supportive towards students.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship cell is very good and the opportunities were provided to over 50% of the students which i say mostly from CS and the average stipend provided is over 80000 and many also get PPOs and the career developing centre here takes care of all these

Placement Experience

Most of the students graduating from here go with a satisfactory ctc.But I think core branches have more opportunities in placement compare to other colleges.students will be eligible for placements from 6th semester.More than 80% of the students are annually placed.As of the 2024 placement session,the highest package is 56 lpa and the average package is 16.8 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

tuition fees depend on the reservation and parent income.for the sc,st students and students whose family income below 1 lakh have no tuition fee and income in range of 1-5 lakhs have to pay 66000 and the rest should pay 260000 annually.in addition to this some scholarships were also provided for reservation students.

Campus Life

The tech fest "concetto" is held in october,cultural fest "Srijan" is held in february and the sports fest "Parakram" in march. The central library here was asia's second largest library providing wide range of books for students as well as faculty.There are various clubs for arts as well as technology and sports.The student societies such as "codeism" help prepare for interns and placements more efficiently.Academically everything is great but in terms of comforts,it is a bit lacking

Hostel Facilities

In room we are provided with free lan or wifi facility but there are no ac s available.The meals were not satisfactory. There is no particular registration process for hostel,it is done when we are reporting after sem holidays for academic regisstration and the rooms were alloted based on admission numbers.The rooms were provided for pg scholars within the campus.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

The admissions were taken by jee advanced rank and some international students were also taken.All the admission process was online through JOSAA and it is very convenient but we were charged 2000 rupees for this.

Placement Experience:

Placements start 6th semester. Companies TCS, Wipro, Deloitte and local companies. Average package is 4 to 5 LPA. I plan to work as a full stack web developer or i will also apply off campus for better softer roles.

Honest college review without AI

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director.
