SAGAR KUMAR JHA's Review On Ranchi University, Ranchi

The college is good in terms of studying and faculty over there is also good and the environment is also good but the only place in which it is lagging is in terms of placement. Very few companies are called for the placement. The faculty in terms of knowledge is too good all over Ranchi as they are making every doubt clear and providing us good education but the placement cell is horrible. No placements at all, this is the only place where it is lagging.

As I have done my graduation from the same university so I was given preference in taking admission, although I had to go through a test in which I scored good marks, as the exam was of 100 marks and it consisted of general aptitude questions and English and maths, so I got 85 out of 100 and I got my name in 2nd cut off list .

The curriculum is very good, the syllabus structure has been renewed recently and now the students are taught on the latest syllabus as per advised by most universities and hence we are running updated in terms of knowledge. This study structure will surely help us in enhancing our knowledge and also help us to get a good job in future.

The college does not provides any internship, rather they allow us to go to the firms we want to and get the internship, either it is paid or unpaid and they see the certificate of internship from the firm provided.

Placement and job opportunities are horrible. You cannot get a good placement, until and unless you move outside and search for placement yourself as the college placement cell is not good enough to bring companies for placement. This the only place in which ranchi university is lagging, as the last placement that took place was in 2015.

Ranchi is in Jharkhand hence every cultural festival of Jharkhand is celebrated in college also wholeheartedly. Many cultural fests are organized by the students and faculty together and also the special thing is the Saraswati puja celebration is grand in this area, especially by these college members.

Yes there are scholarship facility available for the OBC and ST/SC students as the course fee is also less for them and they can ask for the fee redemption once they have filled the semesters form. As I was from general, so I was not able to avail this facility.

The campus is located in maravedi, which is filed of greenery and the temperature there is just great, as it is always moderate climate there and hence the atmosphere of college is very nice and students love to come to college and there are almost equal no. of girls and boys students in the college. No Ragging at all in the college as the people there are very friendly and helpful and also there are no religious differences among the students there.

PG and UG hostels are available there and the fee is very less there also the mess over there is very nice the quality of there is very good. Once you have taken admission in college at the same time you can ask for the college facility there along with mess and in total you will be charged around 1200 rs. Per month.

The seniors and alumni are very helpful and they remain in contact with the juniors and always help them to secure good marks and select the right path also there is a website made by the seniors of 2013 batch who always update it for the juniors in college and help them with every possible way.

Exam structures are not that hectic at all. In every 6 months you will have to go through a semester and every 3 months there are mid semesters as like class test and these tests take place once you have completed your half of the syllabus and then the tests occur. The marks of these mid arm's are not much important but still, professors ask us to give it properly as it helps to improve our confidence for the exams.

You have to fill the form in July of every year and then in August you will be asked to go through an online test by the end of August itself and then the cut off list will be out by september 15th. Then, if one is selected he/she has to bring there graduation marksheet, CLC, TC, Migration, Character certificate at the time of admission along with 4 photographs. Also, The students seeking admission to the PG courses need to complete their graduation from a recognised college/university with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant subjects.

The faculty of the college is very good.A ll of them are very nice and they have vast knowledge about the subjects they are teaching hence the teaching method is very different and students feel easy to understand the things taught also regular lab works are performed so that we can get a good practical knowledge too.
