Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the course due to my keen interest in industrial management and understanding how industries operate. The course curriculum covers a wide range of topics related to management practices, business strategies, and industry dynamics, aligning well with my career aspirations. The faculty-to-student ratio at RVCE is commendable, with approximately one teacher for every 20-30 students, ensuring personalized attention and support. The faculty members possess impressive qualifications, with many holding a PhD and having significant industry experience. Their teaching methods are highly effective, combining theoretical knowledge with practical insights to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Term exams are conducted regularly, typically on a monthly basis through Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE). This frequent evaluation keeps students engaged and ensures steady progress throughout the semester. However, the fast-paced nature of the semester progression can be challenging

Internships Opportunities

4

RVCE offers diverse internship opportunities with renowned companies across various industries. Some companies that frequently offer internships include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture. Roles offered range from software development and testing to business analysis and research. Interns are typically involved in real-world projects relevant to their field of study. For example, a software development intern may work on developing and testing software applications, while a business analyst intern may analyze market trends and develop business strategies. The outcomes of these projects vary but often include tangible deliverables such as software prototypes, market reports, or strategic recommendations. Interns are usually provided with a stipend for their work, making these opportunities valuable learning experiences with practical exposure to the industry.

Placement Experience

4

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure at RVCE is transparent and competitive, with a clear breakdown of tuition fees, examination fees, and other miscellaneous charges. As per the RVCE website, the total fees for my course was ?120,000. Regarding scholarships and financial assistance, while RVCE may not offer a wide range of institutional scholarships, there are external scholarship opportunities available to students based on merit, financial need, or specific criteria. Students are encouraged to explore these options and apply accordingly. Additionally, RVCE provides various campus job opportunities for students to earn income while studying. These jobs may include positions such as teaching assistants, research assistants, or administrative roles. While the stipend for these campus jobs varies depending on the role and responsibilities, they offer valuable experience and financial support to students. Regarding the fees hike policy, RVCE follows a standard procedure in line with regulatory guidelin

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the RVCE campus offers a vibrant and enriching experience, characterized by a bustling social scene, diverse clubs, and state-of-the-art infrastructure. The annual fest, '8th Mile,' and the tech fest, 'Exodia,' are typically conducted in February and March, respectively, adding excitement and cultural diversity to campus life. The library at RVCE provides ample resources for students, with a vast collection of books and journals covering various disciplines, aiding students in their academic pursuits. Classrooms at RVCE are equipped with modern amenities, including audio-visual aids and comfortable seating arrangements, facilitating an engaging learning environment. Sports and extracurricular activities play a significant role in campus life, with facilities for various sports like cricket, football, basketball, and athletics. Additionally, students actively participate in clubs and cultural activities, fostering creativity and camarader.

Admission

The admission process for my course involved meeting the eligibility criteria listed on the official RVCE platform. I found the application form on both the KEA website and the RVCE website. As I took the KCET examination, I had to submit my scores as part of the application process. Additionally, I availed reservation benefits under the OBC 2A category. There were no further application fees apart from the skill lab fee. Regarding improvements in the admission process, I believe it was fairly streamlined and efficient. The cut-off for my branch was around 16k, indicating the rank required to secure admission. Overall, the process was well-organized, and I had a positive experience navigating through it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for this year is the updated one. Its 2025 Scheme for the students. The curriculum is well designed according to the needs of CSE students for real life coding. The curriculum contains all required and updated topics which students from CSE background require to develop excellent skills for jobs and startups. There should be only one internal exam instead of two. Because, two internal exams tend to keep them involved more into college exams leaving very less time to build their extra skills. Thus there should be only one internal exam so that students can build their extra skills.
