Likes

Especially Culture at IIT(ISM) is auspicious that can'y be found elsewhere
The maintainance of clubs by students which are funded by campus
The resource we got here to study and learn anything, especially the environment

Dislikes

Many Students are addicted to drugs here which I didn't like
The infrastructure inside campus is somewhat low
The in-time for campus which restricts the students

Course Curriculum Overview

1.I ve chosen Btech in CSE becaouse I am very passionate about coding 2.Faculity student ratio 1:5 3.Qualification of Faculity-PhD from a premium institute in their respective fields 4.Term exams are conducted in every month & half

Class Size: 160Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Placement Experience

1.Immediately after completion of 6th semester, students will be eligible for placements 2.Companies-Google,microsoft,Goldmansachs and many more 3.percentage of students getting placed-80% 4.My plan is to get a high paying job

Fees and Financial Aid

1.The tution fee here is a way too high especially for middle class.... but there will be allocation of education loans. 2.I didn't get any Financial assistance on campus but there's a scholarship named MCM-6000/-

Campus Life

1.There will be three fests in every year at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad namely SRIJAN-Socio Cultural fest (February) PARAKRAM-Sports is (March-April) CONCETTO_Techno Management fest (October) 2.There are many technical and cultural clubs here namely LITM, MicDrop, CyberLabs etc

Hostel Facilities

1.Two tables, beds, chairs, fans, lights are provided in a hostel room with two persons per room 2.Meal quality and menu is average 3.There will be a hostel allotment form which we have to submit at warden office

Hostel Fee: INR 62000 per year

1.The eligibilty criteria for the btech courses was a Higher Secondary Certificate with atleast 75% marks 2.The application form, fee and all regarding details will be available in JoSAA portal 3.There will bw no tution fee for SC/ST

Placement Experience:

From 5th sem students are eligible for placement. Name of the company I forgot but nvidia amazon comes each year and take some students Paypal offered 4 students 28 lpa and Swiggy gave 2 students 35 lpa Nvidia gave 2 students 25 lpa Highest package data is not out as of now Avg is good this year I guess it's was 12-13 lpa Percentage is I guess reality 60/150

Raw and real side of NIT JSR

Placement Experience:

One of the major advantage of my college is it's placement percentage and average package. For my branch placement percentage is our 80% and average package of my branch is 16.5 lpa this year. Highest package last year was of 1.44 crore from a company rubirik. I plan to work in a semiconductor manufacturing company like Texas instruments and qualcomm.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

All You need to know about IIT(ISM) Dhanbad

As this is an IIT, To get admission here Firstly You have to take the JEE mains exam. At our time there used to be 4 rounds of the JEE Mains exam and Your maximum percentile among all 4 would be considered for a cutoff It was around 90% and to be eligible for give JEE advance Exam. The JEE advance exam happened in July, and its results were also released in August. After Qualifying JEE Advanced exam too you have to go through JOSSA counselling. In JOSSA counselling you have to give your list of colleges priority wise and you will be allotted college based on your AIR. After JOSSA counseling of 6 rounds, you will be allotted a college and then you will receive an offer letter from a college. For me, at IIT Dhanbad after taking admission firstly we were introduced to college through an orientation session with our respected director. After this we were called to campus for pre-registration for our course there we had to submit our documents and verify our identity. That's it !!...Read More
