It is biggest campus and mother of all IIT.
Fests that goes on in our college is very enjoyable
Students are very friendly to each other.

Dislikes

Mess food is sometimes not good in taste.
There is nothing outside the campus for refreshment

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose btech in civil engineering because I had interest in it. Faculty -Student ratio is about 1:2 in our college. Faculty is highly qualified in our college. Exams are taken regularly in interval of 1.5 months and they are difficult.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities is very good in our college. But you should have atleast 8 cgpa if you want internship. Many people do internship in our college in campus and some also do internship off campus.

Placement Experience

Placements are done within the college. Many big companies like microsoft and Google visited and offered high packages. Highest package goes up to 1 cr. About 80 percent students gets placed in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost of study is not high. You will get many scholarships here. Policies are very good. Placements are very good.i feel very proud to study in Indian institute of Technology Kharagpur , west bengal . Many big companies like google and microsoft come here

Campus Life

Fests are very good there is a techfest named Kshitij and cultural fest named spring fest. Many students from outside comes and enjoy with us. Classrooms are very big and have capacity of 120 students at a time. There are almost 60 clubs where you can join.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are not bad in IIT Kharagpur. It is satisfactory. Mess food is also satisfactory. Sometimes food is tasteless and we don't like to eat that. Registration in hostels are very easy and affordable.

Admission

I have given JEE mains and then JEE advanced in which I scored AIR 2936 in JEE mains and AIR 5234 in JEE advanced. And then I decided to take btech civil engineering from jossa councilling Fees was about 154000 per semester.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.
