KSD jain Dental college - an excellent place for your oral health

BDS is a undergraduate 5years( 4years study+ 1 year internship) course. Ksd Jain dental college & hospital provide a healthy environment for study with no ragging in campus. There are 9 departments, library, sterilization unit, auditorium(synapse). Each department has 5-6 number of faculties. Teachers are always helpful be it in class or clinics. From 3rd year onwards students are allowed to do patient work. There is a good patient flow in the college. We have 2 internal, numerous class test and 1 professional exam in each & every year. The exams are conducted timely by the west Bengal University of health sciences.

Dental colleges don't offer placements. There are 1year compulsory internship after passing 4th year. In internship a student treats patient under guidance of teachers. There are 2month internship in oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, 1 month in pedodontics, periodontics, oral medicine, public health dentistry, oral pathology and orthodontics. Students are given 5000 monthly stipend in internship

Ignium is the annual fest held at January 5-6. There are so many events like fashion show,online events, offline events and flashmob We have a library in the top floor, contains a huge number of books. Students can read or issue a book by submitting their library card We have 4 big sized classroom for 1st year to final year having cctv, air conditioning system, audio-visual system and a whiteboard. Classrooms are nicely clean. Throughout the year many extra curricular activities happening in the college. Dr soumyadeep sardar memorial football tournament ( GOLAZO), intra college cricket tournament both are auction based. There are also volleyball, table tennis, throwball played in the campus.

The admission in this college is based upon the rank of NEET(UG). NEET is a national level medical entrance exam in which you have to qualify. Based on your rank you will get government and private medical and dental colleges. After councelling when college is allotted to you, you have to visit the college with required documents, have to show your allotment letter and pay the admission fees. This is the admission process
