Likes
- The faculties at NMIMS, Bangalore are highly qualified. All the professors focus on the learning and development of an individual rather than mere teaching. A lot of real case studies are taught for all subjects making it more interesting to learn.
- Another good fact about NMIMS, Bangalore is the gender and regional diversity. The male and female ratio is almost close to 1:1 which is rare in other B-Schools. There is a balanced ratio of students from North, South, East and West.
- The college has a great infrastructure with centralized Air-Conditioning. College's building has three levels and one level of parking. The college has modern Lecture Rooms, Group Discussion Rooms, Huge Library, Cricket Ground, Auditorium, etc.
Dislikes
- College's hostel is situated a bit far from the campus which make it a drawback since the purpose of hostel gets destroyed if it is not in the college premises. Also, the location of the hostel is not safe.
- The college does not have a ground. It has a very small ground which is not meant for students to sit or play thus, all the sports activity are conducted outside the college. A well equipped sports ground will help students in getting exposure.
- The food available in the canteen is decent and could be improved. There are very limited options and the cost attached to it does not justifies the quality.
Course Curriculum Overview
NMIMS,Bangalore have been promising in terms of its achievements and year on year increase in their rankings, hence I decided to oursue my Masters from here. MBA is all about placements and getting into a good brand with a good package; all of this was being fulfilled while I spoke to a few alums of NMB. Now that I am in my last leg of completeing my MBA from NMIMS, Banglaore: the journey has lived upto is expectations and has groomed me well for corporate world. The faculties at NMB are highly qualified with a minimum of PhD Degree and corporate experience of more than a decade. The faculties are very cooperative and gives a great focus on the learning experience of the students.
Internships Opportunities
College offers promising placements both in terms of Summer Internship and Final Placements. Some big and loyal recruiters that hires summer interns from NMB are MTR, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Marsh, ICICI Bank, DELL, Big Basket, Arcsium, Eli Lilly, Reserve Bank of Inida, Honeywell, Manyavar, Tally, Adobe, etc. The college has emabrked 100% placement for Summer Internships since its inception. I had secured my Summer Internship with JPMorgan Chase & Co. The experience whil doing my internship with such a good brand was enriching and a journey where I learned a lot. The two months had been absolutely amazing and unforgettable.
Placement Experience
The college offers a very successful placments. There has been a 100% placement throughout the college's history. There have beem numerous companies from fortune 500 and from promising new age startups. Students go through a rigorous and a very honest placement onboarding. The students are eligible are formally accepting being the part of the placement form. After this the students go through a very monitered and verified document verification process. every pointer is verified with original documents. Companies Like, ICICI, JP MORGAN, ARCESIUM, DELL, HSBC, KOTAK, MTR, MARUTI SUZUKI, SALESFORCE, AIRTEL, HDFCLIFE, GRASIM, ITC, SOULFLOWER, MORGAN STANLEY, ORACLE, are some of the loyal placement partners. The highest package of Final Placements was 19.8 LPA, Average being 14 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the students who enrolled in the year 2022 for MBA Program (2022-2024) was Rs. 9,00,000 per anum. This fees is exclusive of hostel accomodation. The hostel accomodation is around 2,50,000 per anum. The hostel is not in the college and is around 4 kms away from college. The college provides 100% Placements for both summer internships and final placements. I got a summer internship in JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Final Placement with HDFC Life. The statistics for Summer Internship are: Average = Rs. 35000 per month; Highest = Rs. 85,000 and Median= Rs. 25000. The statistics for Final Placment are: Average Package = 14 LPA; Highest Package =19.8 LPA; Median Package= 13 LPA. There aren't any scholorships provided by the instituition on the basis of merit; however, the ROI can be recovered within 2 years.
Campus Life
The college organises various events throughout the year. There are 8 committees and 12 clubs at NMIMS, Bangalore. Various events are organised by different clubs and committees in this fest. Big brands like WOW, RedBull, etc have been sposoring the annual festThe college has a wide variety of academic books, magazines, newspapers, novels, e-library. The college library has an access to Bloomberg Terminal which is a rare facililty in B-Schools. The classrooms are equiped with smartboards and A/C. The lecture rooms have comfortable sitting arrangements that enables interactive classroom session.
Admission
Planning to get into NMIMS, Bangalore for pursuing your MBA? Here is an complete guide on how you can get into it: 1. Register at https//register.nmat.org and schedule your NMAT by GMAC within the desired window period. You can comfortably book your exam on a date that is comfotable to you. You would have an option to choose your desired offline center/ give it online. Once done, you will get your admit card. The fees of one NMAT exam is around Rs.2800+taxes. 2. Apart from NMAT registration, you have to separately fill the form on NMIMS's official website to apply for the campuses you wish to enroll for and the form costs somewhre around Rs.2500. 3. You have 3 attempts to give NMAT and the best of 3 is considered by a few colleges, but NMIMS only considers the scores of your first attempt. 4. There is an sectional cutoff and an overall cutoff too. Three sections are: Quant+LR+Language. The cutoff of each section varies and is around 72-75. Overall cutoff is around 220+
Interview Experience
The admission process was easy. Once you clear the sectional and overall cutoff, you would get a call letter. You would have to accept the letter and then the further steps will begin. You will have an option to select your date of interview. It is a non eliminatory round. Hence, you would be sent to the next and the final round i.e. a Personal Interview. Once both the rounds are done.
