Remarks

This college is having a good rapport between most of the Hotel Management colleges. Moreover the quality of education makes it much more worth being here

Entrance Preview

We are having entrance exam and interview session too.I appeared for its exams and cleared it successfully hence got admission here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is too good .As far as practical learning is concerned it is supported here at great extent. The best practical session is when we get kitchen to show our talents

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not provided by the college .Most of the students manage to get one from outside.Recently I was in a restaurant which paid me a 4000/- per month.Planning to go for hotels next.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements is a kind good as it is one of the autonomous institute of Hotel Management hence many hotels are having campuses here. One of the famous hotel in Chennai, NOVOTEL came for placements last year

College Events

4.5

Events are organized very rarely. Not in our college but we take tour to other colleges which are having direct link with ours

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is quite affordable. We paid around 1lacs 10 k and the same will continue for rest of the years too. The miscellaneous charges are collected separately

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided on the basis of marks in half yearly exams

Campus Life

4

Extra curricular activities are not much supported here but still we manage to bunk classes to make extra curricular come into action

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are not provided here the land area is not enough.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not that much in our branch as this is recently opened institute

Exam Structure

The exams are manageable as faculty is also too lose with correction.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members seem sometimes not too good with theories but when it comes to practicals it becomes awesome to have them. The way they guide us for everything is great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also.
