Short and Informative.

The course curriculum is student-friendly. I chose Biotechnology because it's an interdisciplinary course along with 40% electives. The faculty members are highly qualified and supportive. They are Ph.D. degree holder and have more than at least 10 years of teaching experience. Their teaching method is well-defined and accurate. They have deep knowledge of their respective domain. In one semester, there are two quizzes ( one month gap) and then the end-semester exam. Examinations are not difficult, everything comes from the syllabus itself.

I don't have much knowledge about the above as I am in 1st year. I don't have any internship experience. Please refer to the college's official websites to get the details of the internships. Further, one can also apply for internships as per their interest through the respective companies.

The placements are great in IIT Madras. Mostly, 4th year grads are eligible for campus placements. Various tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, etc. visit every year. The percentage of students placed is roughly 90% with some others pursuing higher studies and career fields.

The course fees are nearly 2 lakh per year(excluding hostel fees). Also, it varies with the category of the students. The whole details are available on the respective college websites. Firstly, the government grants scholarships according to the students' categories. Secondly, it provides MCM (merit cum means) scholarship. It also allows scholarships to meritorious students as per their grades. .

Cultural fest - Saarang( occurs in January), Technical fest- Shastra ( January). IIT Madras has a huge library with thousands of books. They are always easily available for the students. Classrooms are well equipped with digital screens, projectors, boards, etc. Every sort of sport is played on the campus. They all have their grounds and playing kits. So many clubs( like coding clubs, entrepreneur clubs, Technical clubs, etc.) are available that are run by the students.

The rent of hostels is nearly 70-80000 per year. It includes all the required and basic facilities. The campus provides both South and North foods with good quality. The registration process is like submitting the bio-data and application form.

To be admitted into IIT, One has to qualify for JEE mains and then the JEE ADVANCED entrance examination. Application forms and the details of fees and dates are available on the respective site of Jee Mains and JEE Advanced. I was not eligible for a reservation. The process of admission is smooth. One has to apply for the examination and qualify for the exam.
