Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because of its unique and new curriculum Faculty: student ratio is about 1:10 Faculties are highly qualified from different IITs and have worked already in the leading companies of the country. The exam schedule was pretty good , with monthly tests followed by midterm and endsems , it was challenging but not that much to pass because of good faculties.
Internships Opportunities
In the first semester itself students got intership in a startups as frontend developer with a stripend of 10-15 k per month Students have made personalized assistant like Jarvis using python, portfolios using html and css etc
Placement Experience
Since it's the first batch , I can't name the companies that visited but yeah in the first semester only a number of students have got intership in front end development in companies.ill update once we go for placement
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is merit based , it depends on how you performed in the NSAT and PI and both are considering before giving scholarship. There is financial assistance provided for students by the college in terms of education loans . There are intership opportunities in the campus only like social media , lectures editing etc
Campus Life
A large quantity of books are available in the library ranging from history to self- growth and academic related books are also present. Classroom are fully ac and furnished with digital whiteboard and projectors installed. Almost every sport in present and various clubs are present for co-curricular activities. Dance club, art club , entrepreneurship club etc are some clubs run by students, there's also an software development club as well as ICPC club .
Hostel Facilities
Room is air conditioned, with a bed,table and an almirah with loads of storage. Meals are superb here because not only students but faculties also eat with us and discuss and talk over our meals. Registering for hostels is not an hassle, it hardly takes 5 mins to allocate a room , the affordability of hostel and mess is pretty good according to the facilities available.
Admission
Eligibility: above 50% in 12th pcm Application form, fees details and application dates can be found on the Newton school of technology website - https://www.newtonschool.co/newton-school-of-technology After you register yourself for the scholarship test NSAT , it's an aptitude+ maths + English test to check your eligibility to fit in the course . If you passed the test then there is a PI offline where the remaining 50% of your scholarship is decided.
Interview Experience
Interview was generally to see that whether i would fit in the course or not , with some aptitude and problem solving skills being tested through some questions. I didn't prepare anything for the interview because I didn't get any feedback online, but for someone who's willing to join I would say when they ask about yourself,say everything little thing you've achieved in your life . That will help in making a good impression and in the the aptitude question, take your time because your answer doesn't need to be correct, they just want to check how you deal with problems and make your way through them.
