Likes

The environment: the campus is lush green with huge trees everywhere
The clubs: student run clubs at iit Madras are great, the include all categories from science to drama and magic arts
The curriculum: the curriculum is very light and the faculty is still working on to nake it easier

Dislikes

Heat factor: being near equator, it experiences a lot of heat during summer
Language barrier: for students from north , language tends to be an issue as not all natives know English
North vs south student politics can also be seen

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose chemical engineering because it is the lightest branch. The faculty includes professors who have completed their research from esteemed collegea abroad We follow bi- semester system here, exams are divided as quiz 1, quiz 2 and endsem out of which endsem carry maax weightage If a person gets low in quiz 1/2 then he can easily catch up in endsem

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for a years is 3 lakhs, with financial aid available for students in need. Campus jobs placement records hike up every year The average package of chemical engineering is 20 lpa here Currently i am a student with no job

Campus Life

Tech fest called shaastra and cultural fest called sarang are conducted every year in January All categories if books are available in the library The classrooms haave AC and there are computer labs as well. The libraries have computer for public use The complete fest is run by students Iit Madras haas been number 1 in terms of sports as shown multiple times during inter iit sports meet

Admission

You need to clear jee advance before getting into iit madras The opening rank for chemical was 3070 thi year To fill the application form, first give jee advanced, after results put your preferences in the josa website and hopefully get the college and branch of your choice

Life and Difficulties at SRM University from honest POV

Placement Experience:

the placements start from third year. there are multiple oncampus companies that visited like juspay,zs associates, cognizant,accenture,capegemini and etc. the average package is aroung 5,00,000 the percentage of student is around 60-70 around this year but its still going on by this march.

IITM BS DEGREE - a game changer in distant education

I choose this college over the another colleges because it is the best degree degree over the BTech from low level or tier three tier four colleges, I was having many options for T3 colleges BTech CSE, but I chose this because I think it's the best I apply to SRMS Bareilly University all the colleges I was confirmed, but I chose this college because it was providing me latest curriculum and data science is very new in this. The admission process for this degree is like if you will register in a term, you have to pay. Thousand rupee registration fee.
