Course Curriculum Overview

College is blessed with vastly experienced teachers. One of the main attraction is the innovated high tech lab which provides immense experience to researching students and real time study experience.

Class Size: 15Course Fees: INR 4500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are structured in a way that an average student can afford. Every year students gets placed in reputed firms and placement programme of the kerala government is also there. Stipend is availed for students from deprived background.

Campus Life

The campus offers a wide variety of co curricular activities including clubs, ncc, nss etc. Programmes are regular every weekend. College has a number of talents who has participated in various arts and sports activities.

Admission

A student must attain a minimum qualification mark(index mark) which is set by the university in their graduation to get admission into desired college. After applying via online portal University will allot you your desired college if you meet the eligibility criteria. After that college authority will give you a date for admission and about the necessary documents required. One should appear as per their instructions with the necessary documents and the admission process will commence. Admission process may differ according to the colleges.

Our batch was in Covid lag batch. So the course curriculum was highly rushed. We weren't able to cover aspects which would have real world applications. The last semester research project was fine but still more hands on experience and more research oriented approach could've been taken .

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement in their final year of the course. We have BS-MS, MSc, IPhD and PhD currently. Students from BS-MS are more likely to be placed. Though placement is less as students mostly go for research after masters. We have a placement cell that notifies about the opportunities in industries and academia. As my plans are to pursue a PhD after getting this degree so I never got interested in placement opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a chemistry lover that is why I am choosing this course to become a chemist. There are 8 faculties in the department and 120 students in B.Sc and M.Sc section in chemistry. 5 of the 8 have Ph.D. and 2 have post-doctorate. The remaining 3 are doing their Ph.D. The teaching at the M.Sc level was really different and interesting. They gave the training to mold us as the master of chemistry by self preparations and practice. We are the teachers of our class. We refer to textbooks at libraries (3 libraries. Main, department, research lab). The most difficult portions were taken by teachers in a high-tech way. The teachers arrange international and national seminars. Exams were conducted by universities. That was really easy for us because our department faculties also conduct unit tests and 2 level model exams before semester exams. And provide a minimum of 2 weeks of study leave before exams.
