Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course is B.Tech and I'm pursuing Computer Science and cyber Security in GHRCE, Nagpur. I'd keen interest in this field so I chose this. The student ratio is okay, as we have enough faculty to teach. Faculties are well qualified as they are done with their Ph.D. and other degrees. Term exams happen twice a year, each in a semester. Exams were quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

Talking about internships and placement in our college, during the year 2022-2023 Number of students who got internships is 1033 throughout the batch. Of which 334 got industry-level internships and 42 got city-ones.

Placement Experience

4

7th sem students are eligible for placements. I actually don't have any idea about what exact number of companies have visited and what offers they've made. My plans after getting a degree are clear, I will opt for higher education in the same field- Cyber Security.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are good in my opinion, I've availed the scholarship due to which I just need to pay Fees excluding Tuition fees. The cost to Study is also pretty decent. I've availed Minority Scholarship by MahaDBT. Financial assistance as a student, we have educational loans.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual Fest usually takes place in the 1st quarter of the year. Tech fest also happens at the same time. The library has a surplus of books to issue and the size of the library is also big. Amenities in classrooms and laboratories are good as we have AC, Smartboards, Cushioned Chairs, etc. Sports in the case of Indoor sports college have a sports room but incase of outdoor sports College has to take students to the other campus. Clubs are surplus in number ranging from Microsoft LSA, Google DSC, Hobby Clubs, NSS, SRC, etc.

Admission

The admission process was smooth, You need to be the 12th pass and should have a certain amount of percentage to get admission in this course. Application forms were provided by the Maharashtra Government itself via their Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Rounds. This application round takes place just after the MHTCET Score Declaration. Yes, I've availed Reservation Benefits as I belong to SC, My tuition fees are paid by the state government as my scholarship.

Other Applied Colleges

Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering - [YCCE] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Technology)

Didn’t got selected in Allotment round.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course coz data science is a very trending and growing field. I've been taught about most of the core principles of this field. I think improvement would be needed when learning about real world applications and presentations as a Data Science Professional. I feel like exams are somehow always about memorizing things rather than actually understanding which makes it really bad. Even if you understand most core principles you'll have to learn the book knowledge which isn't relevant to the field at all.
