College is helping the students in all ways to become disciplined individuals in the first place and then a good responsible culinary profession.

Entrance Preview

All India Entrance examination conducted by culinary academy of India in Hyderabad.The entrance exam was on Test of reasoning, communication skills, date interpretation, time and work and current affairs.100 marks and 100 question on multiple choice.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course in first year is very good and the practical sessions are excellent. the emphasis on the practical's is very high and very focused.All the subjects related to hotel , catering and Culinary field are covered.The best thing about the syllabus is that 70 percent of the time is devoted to practicals and 30 percent to theory. All the subjects including the environmental studies, French and communication skills are taught.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college gives training in Second year second semester and we go to all the leading hotels in India .My immediate seniors are training in marriotts, Taj, Oberois, Welcomgroup ITC, Les Meridian,ritz carlton etc.The duration is five months and the stiphend is about inr 5000/-.The training is mostly in differnent kitches and is very good I was told. the students will get to know the real life experience and a good understanding about the life as chef

Placement Experience

all my senior who are passing out this june 2018 are placed as kitchen management trainees in Welcom group institute, oberoi school of management, Mattiott, taj stats. 60% of the final years got international placement in P&O Cruises, Costa Cruises and Princess Cruise.The college has good placement records and the alumni site of the college shows that most of the passed out students are in foreign countries as chefs and culinary artists.

All national level culinary competitions are attended by the students of Culinary academy of India. Annual Sports meet, Inter class Quiz, Debate, Culinary and carving Competition, Independence day, republic day, Christmas gala buffet and also festival theme buffets.Also Bonalu is celebrated with a Telanagana Lunch Menu with Telanagana theme. Regular theme festivals are celebrated in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

RS. 40,000/- per annum (University prescribed tuition fees). However the candidate have to procure uniforms, tool kit, study materials, journals, two- piece suit and also should pay additionally for the working lunch provided at the college. The final and total figure for the complete academic year will be provided along with the application form.

College has special scholarship's for merit students and students who have out standing performance in the national level culinary competition.

Campus Life

the life is a like in a military academy with rigorous training and high importance for discipline.Girl candidates are very much in demand especially as chefs. Due to odd shift timings & rigorous work only the determined, interested & hard working girl candidates opt for the course. On an average there are 20% girls in each batch.We have lot of extra curricular activities and sports.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. The institute is attached with a 30-bed hostel. It is mandatory for all the out station candidates to stay in the hostel in the first year. the hostel is situated within hundred meters of the college and has all the facilities with reach. The college is next to Begumpet Metro Station , Bus Station and also to all major malls of the city.

Alumni/Alumna

College is having a very good Alumni network and most of the alumni come to college and take classes and also the guest lectures. They also conduct demonstrations and workshops which is a good practice.

Exam Structure

We have six semesters and the fourth semester is industrial training.The Exam is CBCS mode and we have to have minimum sessionals marks and then only we can appear for the final exam conducted by Osmania University. All semesters have equal weightage that means 40% sessionals to appear for the final exam.

Admission

we were called for written test on Test of reasoning, communication skills, date interpretation, time and work and current affairs.100 marks and 100 question on multiple choice. Then there is a group discussion round followed by a personal interview.The personal interview is all about what I know about the chef career, hotel industry and also a lot of questions are asked on hobbies, current affairs and also about cooking.

Our director is a Chef himself his name is Sudhakar Rao.Most of the faculty in the college are well experienced and also foreign returned.they have a very good knowledge and give a lot of importance to the overall development as a culinary professional. Some of the faculty members have won national level culinary competitions and have very good culinary arts skills.

This college is the only college in India that differentiates between hotel management and culinary arts. If the goal is to become a chef then this is the right college to join. Hence, I choose this course. I feel it's my privilege to be trained under such a good faculty, who pay attention to detail with utmost care and discipline. From the fifth semester / 3rd year we become eligible for campus placements. various hotels along with retail chains like Domino Mcdonald's, pizza hut, Taj, and Marriott. The highest package was 6 lakhs per annum and the lowest was 2.5 lakhs per annum my batch had a placement percentage of 85. I started working with royal orchid Bangalore after my degree.

From 5 semesters onwards students are eligible for campus placements but depending upon their attendance in the college. Marriotts, Oberois, Novotel (Accor group), Taj properties, Airlines (Airport) The average salary offered is 15k-25k 97.5 students get placements in all five-star properties depending upon their given interviews. Placement Experience:

The 5th and 6th semester is the time when the campus starts showing up, we have all the brands which take our students. The students have to complete an internship period with the company and then they are permanent employees there, if one has cracked CLT or MT after the completion of your Training you get an assistant manager's post One gets 3-5 Lakh per year during their training phase.
