Course Curriculum Overview

The course is about mining mainly in coal the method of mining and the whole process is being taught to us. And also an internship is provided to to know it well. Our faculty is very supportive and friendly they teach us by sharing their experiences.

Placement Experience

From 5th semester we are all eligible for campus placement. The highest package is 5 lakh per annum. A minimum of 60 percent of recruitment is for campus placement. After getting the degree the first priority is to get a job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college is a government polytechnic institute. So our fee is very low. And West Bengal government provides a scholarship called the Swami Vivekananda scholarship through this we get eighteen thousand per year.

Campus Life

The college campus is very large. On this campus, there are 3 hostels 2 for boys and 1 for girls. We have smart classrooms with many facilities. And also labs with rare instruments and a workshop of different departments. There are departmental libraries.

The hostel is very clean and large in size meal charges are also low. To take a hostel first we have to apply on our college's official site the hostel super approves. The PG is very costly middle-class students can't afford it.

Admission

I passed My madhymik examination from Chittranjan Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya In 2021. After that, I came to Asansol Polytechnic through a jexpo examination In the Department of Mining Engineering. Now my aim is to be a good and successful mining engineering in the future.

My Experience at TPI as a 3rd Year Diploma Undergrad

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are good. Big names are associated with TPI for campus placements. But for Computer Science students, very few companies arrive, that too with very less salaries. (not worth it). It is generally reccomendable if you can do a Btech is come college and work on your skills there, your employbility gets higher. Highest package from Computer Science is 20 LPA (off-campus) and lowest package is 1.8 LPA (on-campus). Generally on campus placements range from 2 to 3 LPA.

Best start for a professional life

Placement Experience:

From fifth semester semester students became eligible for campus drive recruitment. And college also started campus drive. As i earlier mentioned that campus drive are not that much satisfying at all during 2012-2014. I was passed out at 2014 & in my time there's only one company came for civil engineering branch except that all are IT companies. For electronics & telecommunication and Computer science student there's lots of scope at that period. Some of them got package of 3.6 lakh per annum which may be the highest package as far as i know during my days. In an average we get 2 lakh per annum package. I just set one campus drive recruitment of Printika pvt. Ltd. which recruited almost 15 civil engineer from our branch. They offered 2 lakh per annum package to all. As a percentage of placed student from my branch is almost 20%. Overall from 2014 batch it'll be 30-50%. Unfortunately i didn't placed from that placement drive as I'm planning for higher study.
