Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose general management as it provides a wider base of knowledge and we are free to choose our specialisation in the 2nd year. The faculty ratio in KJSIM is approximately 1:10. Faculty is highly experienced with 95% of them being PHd Holders. Teaching methods are modern and the pedagogy includes case studies from Harvard and other IVY league colleges, class interaction, regular projects, assignments and team-building exercises. Institute follows the trimester exam patterns and the difficulty of exams is an unknown territory for me as I haven't given any till now.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for campus placements after 4th trimester. A total of 150 companies visited this campus last year with highest being 26.5 lakhs and the average being 12.32 as per the seniors. 100 per cent of the batch is placed. My plan is to work in corporate for 5 years and then start my entrepreneurial journey.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fees per year are 9,69,100. Multiple financial aids and scholarships are which the students can avail as per their economic condition and excellence in education, There are some statewide scholarships also for example Gujarat.

Campus Life

4.5

MELANGE is the MBA annual fest and tech fest is RENAISSANCE and is generally conducted in the second half of the year. There is a plethora of books and journals containing all topics. Classrooms are smart and tech-enabled and there is not a single sports activity that you cannot do in the college, it has got all. Almost all clubs are run by students like Placecom for placements, Adcom for admissions, finstreet for finance, and Mauj for music. There is a wide range of extracurricular activities that a student can do for example dance, music, debate, article writing etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities are basic, there are 2 options available, double sharing and triple sharing. Each hostelite is given 1 bed, study table, cupboard, LAN connections and attached bathroom. There is no AC in the hostel. Food quality in the mess is decent and also the menu is changed every week. The registration process for a hostel is easy, we get all the details via mail after paying the first college instalment. The hostel fees is on the higher side but is manageable.

Admission

Basic eligibility is that candidate must have a minimum of 50% in 10th,12th and undergraduate and should have appeared in either CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT and CMAT ( Clearing the minimum cutoff ). Details like the application form, application fees and application dates were easily availbale on the website of KJSIM and also on all reputed MBA related websites were also sharing the same. Admission process was very smooth, all the details were communicated timely through mails and all the payments were done through online transaction. So, as per me no improvement needed. Cutoff of for all the exams for the 2023 is as follows Nmat-222 Cat - 83 percentile Xat - 72 percentile Gmat - 550 CMAT - 98 percentile

Placement Experience:

The average Lpa of the college is 9 lpa so it is good. Marketing gets 100% placement as compared to other streams. There is booth on campus and off campus placement. And the placement cells bring good companies and there are chances of PPO also.

College management is not that good, which I felt is need to be improved. making everything student centric makes it difficult for students as well as college to be organised.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
