Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since I chose Production Engineering it was totally about Mechanical stream's where we used to study about industries production management. this had a good scope on getting this graduation while entering into jobs mainly like Industries of many products. This Degree is currently available at only 4 colleges in Tamil Nadu including Madras Institute of Technology. If you get a chance to get into this college it would be a great achievement though since Dr.APJ ABDUL KALAM sir studied his M.E. Aeronautical Engineering at this MIT college located at Chennai. If you seek for faculties teaching method, then compared to other private colleges you would love to have those faculties with you for 4 particular years. They are so kind and humble and even friendly to students that they try to help you get knowledge on various aspects of these 8-semester engineering periods. for a strength of 61 students even 2 faculty is enough for both boys and girls to make them comfortable by giving enough exp.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are only inside college internships available like SCOE and IOT, mostly the availability is done only for those students who complete 4th semester and will be searching for an internship outside the college campus, so this is a college-based internship available without stipends for more than a week to below 6 weeks

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are far better than other private colleges since it is a well know standard college placement availabilities for all departments are enough and are competitive. there are major companies like TCS, CPCL, Hyundai, Daimler, etc. who offer more than 4 LPA there is in most cases 100% of students get placements. there will be immediate promotions for those students who had high CGPA inside a company

Fees and Financial Aid

Since this is a government college the fee structure is comparatively lower than other private colleges where for a year you will have to pay more than 2 lakhs. there are many scholarships available at this college to get studied without paying fees for college. Since the hostel management is not under the government you will have to pay higher fees for hostel accommodation

Campus Life

4.5

There are more fests conducted for students which will be more interesting to come with friends and families. there is no charge for students who study here, only for outcomes do they make charges to view the fest. The library is a huge library present inside the college where more than 50 thousand+ books may be available to study in the future. Lights and fans available inside a classroom are enough for all the students to get enough comfortable. Sports and extracurricular activities include all sports which will be held outside the college compound which is known as the MIT annexure where there is a huge ground to play every ground sports where students have enough time to occupy without anyone's permission. there are organisations like NSS, YRC, NSO and even clubs like Tamil Mandram, Photo Society, MIT MET club, IOT club, MIT Quill, etc

Hostel Facilities

4

The rooms provided in 1st year may not be sufficient for more than 2 students but if due to unavailability of rooms occur then they have to manage with 3 students in a room for 2nd, the 3rd and 4th year it is not like that, they have enough space inside rooms and has a good vibe inside. the quality of food will be good compared to outside hostels, and the menu has a decent structure for a student to have their food etc. to register to the hostel they have the MIT Hostels website in the browser where you can register with college details. (ONLY MIT COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY IN HOSTELS)

Admission

This college only approves students that score about 85% in standard 12th and will seek for round wise category selections based upon ranks scored in Tamil Nadu Engineering admissions provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu To avail of this You have to search for TNEA in the browser after immediate completion of standard 12th

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
