Remarks
Cause it's a government college, the work flow is very slow and at times students participating in extracurriculars suffer immensely due to non supportiveness of teachers.
Entrance Preview
The Course I'm studying currently is called BA FEN; FEN for Functional English. It's very different from B.A. GENERAL AS we have a written entrance test which is followed by an interview. When I applied for this course, I wanted to try something new and choosing this subject has given me great experiences and exposure as it's a study of media related aspects through the language of English.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course is amazing! It's a forever changing line and we have to be always update about everything. Afterall, that's what journalism is all bout.
Internships Opportunities
The college doesn't provide an internship but it does give us pur letter of recommendation and we need to hunt for our own internship options in media houses.
Placement Experience
Our course offers us campus placement and The Tribune and The Indian Express come for the same.
College Events
Our department has Literary and Media fests along with a charity event every year. No outsiders are allowed and the whole college comes for the same. Media and literary fests are intercolleges events and see the participation from colleges all over the tricity.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Rupees 13, 568 per semester including practical fees.

The college provides underprivileged students and students coming from weaker economic stature with different scholarships.
Campus Life
The college allows to freely venture put and experiment and honour your talent and creativity and let's us participate in different intercolleges and imterumiverity competition in state and national and international as well.
Hostel Facilities
I am a day scholar but the hostel is ok. The food is horrible at days. Rooms are on sharing and two individuals share one. PGs are also available near around our college campus which have different rates and options.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni meets which happen annually don't allow current student to interact I'm the same.
Exam Structure
We have theory and practical exams for every semester. At times it is very hectic but overall there's noprssure from the teachers as work is done regularly and it's never rushed on us.
Faculty
The faculty is amongst the top in the trinity and are very supportive and open minded. They don't believe in cramming and let us work practically.
