dentistry in full swing

College is good but only one demerit we have is a slight lack of patients. We don't have that much mob of patients but still get ample patients to get our practice quota done in every department.

I gave NEET(AIPMT) exam and choose BDS because initially wanted to do MBBS but didn't score that much to get through in MBBS, so left with this option to serve people of India and worldwide as well.

The BDS course structure is very good, having subjects of dentistry along with medical subjects. Having focus on just the oral cavity makes it easy as well as difficult at the same time. Research field is also open to discover and treat new and old diseases and their treatment using new and advanced technologies as science has improved and is still improving day in and day out.

Yes. Our college does provide an internship of one year to all the students who have qualified the fourth year. Stipend amount is a bit low being 1500 for the whole month. But overall experience is quite fine.

Since the course is a professional course, companies don't come that frequently for placements into the campus. But after dentistry the scope for job is very wide open, from joining army or any other govt job to opening our own clinic along with doing post graduation afterwards.

The PDM university and family of colleges organised it's fest named "paradigm". It's a big scale event since it includes all the colleges of PDM family. It includes many events like technical events, mechanical events, robotics, dance competition, singing competition, fashion show and DJ night along with Star night performance etc.

Fee structure is a little heavier than the government colleges. Fees for all the 4 years is around 2 lacs and 20000 INR. The fifth year doesn't need to be payed since its the year of internship. Fees is to be payed by demand draft or neft or Rtgs only, no cheques and cash are entertained.

Since the fees is on a bit higher side for middle class students, so our college also provide loan facilities for fees. No scholarship is given in our college.

A good and diverse campus life we live here, student from almost all the states of North India we have. Girls are more than boys in our dental college. Many extra curricular activities are organised time to time like debates, seminars, poster competitions, health talks and free dental camps in nearby villages etc.

Hostels are on sharing basis for first year only but after first year single room is allotted to single student. Girls and boys have separate hostels with all the facilities like Ac, 24 hour electricity, fully covered WiFi campus along with good quality of food which is always a big concern for students living in the hostels.

Very friendly seniors we have in our college. Never got ragged since they treat us like their own siblings and not just "juniors" as seen in many medical/dental colleges of India. No one refuses to help any of their juniors or even juniors helping their seniors.!!

Exam structure is good. Having ample time to prepare in between consecutive exams and also between the theory exams and the practicals. Security and invigilators during the exams are also strict so as to give all the students equal chance to score good and to ensure that no one cheats.

Based on the score and rank in AIPMT Exam as mentioned earlier, went under the processes of counsellings and got a seat in this college. Since our college is in Haryana, so the counselling took place in the governed University Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, in the medical wing. Rank wise students were called and allotted seats in respective colleges and I had a choice of 3 colleges but choose PDM since it is nearer to my home and also had heard some good reviews about this college.

Faculty.. what can I say about the faculty. All the departments have renowned faculties with expertise in their respective fields.
