Course Curriculum Overview

I was always interested to be a coder and making new software to help with my everyday tasks moreover bits CS course gives you a lot of exposure and opportunities. The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable and also have some interesting courses to teach. The exams are above average difficulty but one can deal with them with the everyday study.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 298000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship offers from amazon, Microsoft adobe, google, Samsung, Nvidia, and QUALCOMM were made to students. Most stipends were around 80000 per month. Projects internal to companies were assigned with dedicated Chromebooks so project information can not be leaked.

Placement Experience

Only 4th-year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Amazon, and Meta often visit campus to provide placements. Average package is around 18lacs and the highest package is up to 50lacs. 100% of students that apply for placement get placed the in CS division. My plan is to work towards my career with a well-paying job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is increased by 15% every semester and at this point is starting to feel a bit too steep of an increase in tuition fees. The cost of the study is also a bit high but equalizes the benefits offered. There are various scholarships available some from bits, some from alumni, and some from private institutions. You can get guaranteed internships in Ps-2 with enough stipends to cover a semester.

Campus Life

There are two major fests held in bits, one is an oasis in November, and the other is apogee in April. Oasis is an annual fest whereas Apogee at the tech fest. The library has a sizeable amount of books for reference purposes. You can also find various self help, and fiction books from the library as well. Classrooms are air-conditioned and fairly large to accommodate a large number of students comfortably. There are gym grounds that provide dedicated ground for various sports. Badminton nets and basketball hoops are also available in many hostels. Various cultural societies and clubs are run by students. Team bits is a very famous example of this.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are of moderate size and have a table, chair and almirah for each student. The mess menu is dynamic and changes as per the student elected body SSMS's wishes. The meal is of good enough quality. The registration for hostels is done online before start of every year. Complete mess and hostel costs are around 50000.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

The admission procedure involves giving the BITSAT exam and your 12th passing marks to be more than 75%. Details regarding the exam and admission process can be found on the official bits admission site. There are no reservation benefits.

SUMMARY ABOUT IIIT KOTA

Placement Experience:

the placement scenario of my college is imrpoving every year but it was still not as good as it was when we were at MNIT jaipur campus given the placement of last year but this year it seems to have imrpoved by a lot since there are much more companies visiting our campus this year the few companies visited are NVIDIA, VISA, E-SARAL, AMAZON, MEESHO, MYNTRA etc nvidia offered a 65lpa package and esaral offered 3 35LPA package the packages of other companies are not revealed yet. the highest package this year is 1CR+ but it's an off campus placement the highest on campus placement is 65 lpa by NVIDIA there are around 80% students getting placed every year inclduing on campus and off campus both few goes for higher studies such as M.TECH or MBA but there's stilla good amount of people getting placed every year out of which 40-50% are onn campus. my plans are to get a placement after college then if i get the opportunity and right consition then i might pursue M.TECH and PHD in foreign country

The students are allowed to sit in placement from from 6th-7th semester.The average package is around 350000 to 500000 lacks per Annum.. officially there were 250 companies visited This year most of them being startups ,, The most famous is maybe Google. The placement percentage is on lower side My plans are to crack a companies placement with decent amount of package

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visited our university like amazon, deloitte, google,Microsoft, TCS, hcl tech etc. The highest placement of these year was 33 lpa and average was 7-8 lpa. These year our university got 1200+ offers and still counting. The companies mostly select based on skills and not cgoa, so if you have enough skills then you can easily clearly interviews and get placement.

campus placements at muj are decent but largely depend on individual performance and skill set . there are many companies visited like amazon tcs and microsoft and others they made many offers to students highest package is 25 lpa and average is 6 lpa and minimum is 3 to 4 lpa.roughly 70 to 80 % students get placed. my plains after getting degree is to get a job of highest package.

Placement Experience:

In third year student gets eligible for on campus internships offered by big companies like google and nvidia. from fourth year students gets to sit in placement offered by companies called to colllege if that student pass the eligibility criteria mostly based in CG in semesters. In 2024 highest package from our college was 53 LPA from computer science and engineering. the average package of our college was about 20 LPA for CSE department and can vary based on skills and branch. last year about 92% of Btech students gets on campus placements. In reality i haven't decided what i have to do after getting my degree. I wouls probably do job or opt for Mtech or MBA or maybe least probable i would like to prepare for UPSC.

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
