Remarks

The only bad remark I want to add is the isolation of every student from the outside world. The college has cut itself off from the outer world. Once the student is in the college, it becomes a hectic job for him/her to get out of those walls.

Entrance Preview

I took NMAT exam which is specifically for admission in this institute. This college has its own reputation and also has great ties abroad which caught my attention

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure is relatively better than other institutes and research based studies have been started this year. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the course 7 which is a good score. We get core electives in the fourth year which are Non conventional resources, Additive Manufacturing, Operational research and Automobile engineering. For a particular batch to start, we need atleast 20-25 students. A greater prospect has opened up in the field of automobile engineering.

Internships Opportunities

Our college does not provide any type of internship. There is no such stipend and we've had zero experience in this field. Neither the companies come to our college for any internship .

Placement Experience

2.5

Our placement cell is the body which takes care of all the placements. Companies like Bosch, Accenture, Infosys, IBM etc many other companies come for recruitment and our college has maintained a 80% placement criteria. Last year our college had seen a drop of about 20% of placements due to high standards of the companies. Accenture and Infosys which are the mass recruiters offer three packages of 3,3.5 and 4 lakhs per annum. Rest others offer about 3.5- 5 lakhs per annum.

College Events

2.5

There are 2 festivals or events that are held in our college. One is called Protsahan which is generally referred to as the cultural festival. It is generally on a big scale. Battle of bands is the most famous even in this festival. Various other bands come to our campus for competing. The second is called Ambiora which is the technical fest of the college including 50+ events testing the practical knowledge of the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible Hostel (including 3 meals) = 1 lakhs And academic fess = 1,60,000 The total fees being 2,60,000 per annum. This sums up the expense for one student in one academic year. The mess fees is 40k for a year for 3 meals a day which is very cheap

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is provided to any student whatsoever. The institution is a deemed university and has its own rules of providing scholarship and loan facility and can be directly dealt with the Dean or director of the campus .

Campus Life

4

Campus life is fun but getting out of the college is a big deal. There is no in time or out time. So the college maybe considered as a 3 star jail. Monthly out-passes are provided to students for going out. It is a smoking free campus. If there's one thing about our college which makes it unique, it is the diversity. We have Gujaratis, haryanvis, Marathis, Mumbaikars, Delhites, South Indians, Bengalis and etc. Gender ratio is 1:3, that means for one girl, there are 3 guys ( talk about competition huh ). Extra co-curricular are the fests that take place once a year featuring robotics workshop, automobile workshop etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facility is amazing and appreciable. The rooms are maintained like as in a 3 star hotel and the food provided in the mess is no less. The rooms are sharing between 4 people, individual single beds with individual cupboards and study desks. Equipped with AC if needed and 24 hour electricity backup

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are most helpful during the course. They provide insight of he college, tricks to survive inside if the college goes dry, provide us with exam tricks and what not. Senior students really help us in every way possible. Being a no ragging campus, it really safe for the students to interact with the seniors

Exam Structure

Labs are conducted everyday. A two hour session is held to improve our experimental approach and to have ideas of implementing the knowledge provided to us in the classroom. The exams are conducted once in every 1 and a half month. Final semester exams carry a 60% weight-age in our report cards whereas 40% is through the various internal examinations conducted throughout the semester

Admission

I appeared for NMAT exam and I got a rank based on my marks. Next step was to arrive in Mumbai at the campus and choose the appropriate branch according to your rank. If the seats had been filled up, you can opt for any other branch and give a promotion choice

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of our college is above than average. They put specific efforts on each student to embrace his/her strengths and improve their negative qualities. Performance of our faculty is consistent and better than average colleges. On a scale of 1 to 10, our faculties can be categorized at 6-7. The faculties are more than qualified and experienced. We've also got professors who were teaching abroad and their skill is appreciable.
