Remarks

You will be first called up for documentation purposes after you got allotment by writing the KEAM entrance exam. Rank varies according to the trend of that year generally you have to score at least close to 1000 to get into computer science since it has the highest demand.

Course Curriculum Overview

Computer science was one of my favorite subjects while I was studying +2 so I opted to go for it and it was easy compared to ECE, EEE, and all. Comparatively easy syllabus and one who understands the logic can quickly clear exams. About the faculties and the department, they are mainly focused on academics rather than allowing us to explore tech and tools.

Class Size: 77Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

The campus placement is there at the end of the 6th semester. For the CSE batch, almost 90% of the class is getting placements. But regarding the annual LPA and quality of the company, it's very average. Get an average of 6-7lpa also most of the companies are below average.

Fees and Financial Aid

A 6k fee comes each semester ( depending upon your caste and reservation category the amount varies ) which we pay to the university for whole semester purposes like conducting exams. Also, 300 Rs have to be paid to the college for each semester series exams and library purposes.

Campus Life

Campus life will not be as good as government colleges considering the restrictions that they are imposing since the college is under a Muslim trust. The annual techno-cultural fest Hestia will be conducted every year.

Hostel Facilities

About the hostel life even though the facilities are much limited, it's really fun but considering the poor food, it's better to take private homes with your friends so that we can avoid a huge mess of bills for the average food they are providing.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future
