Remarks

I got admission into this college via a common entrance exam of Maharashtra [MH-CET] for admissions into Engineering colleges. The cutoff for Mechanical Engineering in my college was around the 70 percentile for the general class. There also were reservations for the reserved castes with comparatively lower cutoff scores. Also, there were offline rounds for people who did not get admission through the online process

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I've always had an interest in the AC sector and since there was no specialized course for HVAC Engineering, I chose mechanically. The staff of my college is great. There are enough faculties, with specializations in various subjects and most importantly qualified enough. They all are mostly with a doctorate and Ph.D. degrees. As our college runs under the Mumbai university, the curriculum happens in a very organized manner with 2 midterms tests and one end-term test. The difficulty level is easy.

Placement Experience

3.5

Particularly in my department, placements are scarce. Not scarce, but the ratio is around 1/7 or 1/8. And this is the scenario throughout Mumbai in engineering colleges. However, college does bring several companies such as WORLI, TCS, and Infosys for placement, and at the end of the day, it depends upon how much you, individually are qualified enough for that job. Moreover, I want to push myself for further studies so I did not indulge myself in the placement scene

Fees and Financial Aid

Compared to other engineering colleges in Mumbai, the fees are low. It is around 1 lakh per year for the general category. However, if you have seeked admission through merit, you can also apply for scholarships and benefits of EBC. Also, there are are a few opportunities for an internship which you will come across throughout the four years but you will have to put in your maximum effort to gain the benefit

Campus Life

4

Zodiac - Rgit's Cultural fest and Icarus - Rgit's technical fest, both are, at their respective stages, organized in a very very good manner and in the interest of the students. The reason is, both the fests are organized by the Student council, which is elected by the votes of all the students. This also gives room to an election that happens every year to elect the council members and the election environment is just amazing as all the candidates standing for the elections try their best and organize events, and parties to gain the votes of the students. Along with the fun, there also is a sports team in our college for cricket, football, basketball, and a few others. Not to forget the committees such as the ISHRAE- Hvac committee, SAE - Automobile committee, MESA, ASME, etc which bring many opportunities for the students if you are a member of it
