Remarks

The admission process is very easy. You just have to pass the Jee advanced exam or the Iiser admission test and after getting. Decent rank you can appear for counseling. Based on your rank you can apply for the institute and the course to enroll in.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had chosen this course because it was research-oriented. The faculty and students ratio is approx 1/20. Faculties are graduated from elite institutes of the world. To pass this exam, it's not that difficult but it's moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

Various other research institutions take students from sister Bhopal for internships. Companies like nurture farm, Nomura, and Deloitte are here for internships and placements. Even Students are going everywhere from IBM to Google.

Placement Experience

First of all, this is a research institute so most of the students go for a Ph.D. to advance their careers in this field. There is also placement started for people from programming and finance backgrounds. There are around 10 students every year getting placed with decent placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is very common here but you can go for a protest against that and they will reduce the fee after that. You can apply for inspiring scholarships and every central or state scholarship that you are qualified for.

Campus Life

There are multiple fests like enthusiast, Onam, and singularity which are getting held here every year. There is a big library for books and journal papers. Multiple science clubs are here together with various sports activities.

Hostel Facilities

We have a room with two people in a single room. There is a fan, table, and night lamb along with an almirah. You can also request a bathtub. To register for the hostel you will have to contact to dosa office and the caretaker of the hostel.

A brief review of IISER Bhopal

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is very research driven, and it is very flexible too. Course is as per the New Education Policy and is relevant to modern industrial needs. However the Curriculum is all around Pure Sciences, like the B.Sc but just the college is much better than a normal BSc college. First two year is given to students to get along with subjects that they want to study in future, in the third year they choose their Majors. Quizzes are frequent and occurs biweekly, while Exams occurs every month and so.

IISER BHOPAL : A HOME FOR MANY

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum trains students in various research fields, including lab and theory. The course prepares a student to get either a industry position, or PhD position. The course curriculum can be improved by porividing more exposure to students who havent experienced, these fields. Exams are good, easy if youve understood the course content. These exams are based on a wide information of the topic, and are not limited to just one textbook.

My thoughts on IISERB

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I am just in my first year right now, the courses I have are fairly introductory. But since we have to study PCMB, Earth Science, Programming and a Humanities course just in the first year, it's fairly hard to manage. we have 2 quizzes, a mid sem exam and an end sem exam in each semester typically at the end of each consecutive month (4 month semester). The marking scheme, syllabus, paper pattern, time, difficulty etc are all subject to change according to the professor.

Placement Experience:

As it's a research institution, more emphasis is given to academia and research instead of placements. We have an active placement cell, but still, it's lackluster compared to engineering colleges. The average package hovers around 10 lpa, and only a handful of people get placements. Most opt for Phd or an MBA.

Knowing IISERB engineering sciences

Placement Experience:

Mostly from 8th semester onwards students become eligible for sitting in placements and getting preplacement offers in their applied companies. Companies like nomura Bank ,Barclays and Dr Reddy's lab have visited the campus in the past. Mostly all the students get placed because less number of student sitting for the placements. According to last year data around 31 lakhs per annum was the highest package and the average was around 10 lakhs per annum. My plan is to get into a foreign university for my higher studies.
