Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course as I belong to Islam so I have to study Urdu at graduation. There are a total of three departments in our course. Each department have a sufficient number of professors so faculty and student ratio is almost good in my course. The qualification of the faculty is very high. They have years of teaching experience so they teach us good enough to understand. Term exams are based on an annual system means exams are held once a year at the end of an academic year. Exams are not difficult at all so not difficulty while passing exams.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students from the last semesters are basically selected for campus placement programs. A pre-test is conducted for shortlisting students for placement offers. In the year 2022, Scholar Academy Bangalore is the company that visited our campus for placement. They selected many students for the highest package of 6 lakh per annum and the average package of 2.5 lakh per annum. About 20 to 30 per cent students get placement every academic year. I will do my master's after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The duration of the course is three years and course fees are very affordable. In the first year, we have to pay Rs 2592 as whole-year fees and in the second year we pay Rs 2277 as whole-year fees and in the third year we pay Rs 2777 as whole year fees. The total cost to study this course is around Rs 50000. Saksham is the name of the scholarship we get from the UP state government. Poor students get Financial assistance from the Indian Bank of University. Also, we get part-time job opportunities on campus in different departments where we can get a specific amount by doing particular work decided by staff.

Campus Life

4.5

Deekshant Samaroh and Freshers Party are the names of some annual fests organised on our campus. Besides these many, more cultural programs are organised in the winter season mainly. All books and journals are available in the campus library. We can take any books from the library for free. We all need only library cards to issue books. A classroom has all kinds of facilities like free wifi and AC and smart class and many more. Sports and games are organised but we do not participate in them.

AMU does provide placements, and their highest package is 50 lakhs, while their average package is approximately 5 lakhs. But the placement cell needs to be developed properly to give better placements for the students.

I wanted to pursue my dream to be an IAS officer and that is the reason why I chose this program. My program includes the subjects English, Education and Ancient History which will help me in my preparation further. The curriculum is very well designed to help the students know and understand the concept deeply. There are 6 semesters and the exams take place in either of the two shifts which are ok for the students. The difficulty level is not too much. The questions are not so tricky if one has properly prepared.
