Remarks

I took the entrance exam called PGECET and I got a very good rank in that thus getting a seat in my favorite design stream seat in this college. For a regional govt. based college this university provides all the facilities well. The only thing is to spend time on the resources provided and utilize them to the maximum to achieve success.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

I did choose engineering design because it is my interest. I wanted to do a master's course in design. The student ratio would be around 15 to 17. Qualification of the faculty is master on a basic level and there are so many who have a Ph.D. as well with good experience in teaching. The term exams were 4 to 5 months apart and if you have listened to the classes and prepared well enough then it is not that tough.

Internships Opportunities

3

Cyient for post-graduate engineer trainee, L&T for post-graduate engineer trainee, Belcan for some junior engineer role. Amazon I applied and got as well. Projects are mainly related to composites in Mechanical MTech courses for some reason.

Placement Experience

3.5

I got eligible for placements from 3rd semester and to be honest the no. Of companies are large only but the thing is they are mostly software related companies as they are the oned who will do the mass hiring. I visited like 4 to 5 companies.avg package is 3.5lakhs per annum. More than 50%. My plan is to get a core job if not do data analytics course. And then get a job

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hikes are rare in a govt educational institution they are very reasonable and the relative cost to study is also less. I didn't get any scholarship because my father is a govt employee but we can still get a scholarship if their income is less than some 3lakhs or something. I did apply for some internships and got placed but rejected because they were offering very less salary.

Campus Life

3.5

They were a couple of fests conducted in March and April. There will be fests for every branch separately. The library is very good I would say there were so many journals and textbooks to refer from and they maintained them in very good condition. Sports and extras are cricket for all of us. Some students even play volleyball and badminton. I don't know about social groups.

Placement Experience:

The college placement record is according to the top IITs of India. The college provides a 100% placement record. The college placement committee helps us to identify the right company for us and they guide us throughout the placement drive. The highest package for our batch went up to 55 LPA and the average package was around 17 LPA. The college committee also invites star-ups for placement so that students can also be placed in start-ups and learn something. Companies like Accenture Japan, Google, Microsoft, MTX, Rakuten, TSMC, Tech Mahindra, Google, etc visited the campus during the campus drive.

I took GATE entrance exam. I scored an AIR (All India Rank) of 2361 in Civil Engineering Department. I opted this college because it is the nearest top of the class national institutions from my native place (Khammam, Telangana). I've done my bachelor's in Civil Engineering and i'm always fascinated with Wastewater Treatment Technologies. This enthusiasm made me take this course in this college.
