For admission into the course, you have to pass an exam known as the common post-graduation entrance test. Taking the pet mark as a base, ranks were provided and universities take students according to ranks. The application form is published by the higher education department of the state once a year. The application fee for the general category was 500 and for sc/st it was 300. The application date was the last week of June. Exam conducted in the month of august and result published in September.

I did a b.sc in chemistry for my bachelor degree, so I choose this course for my master's purpose. There are 7 faculty members in the department and the total student is 64 in two years. Classes were generally conducted from morning to afternoon. All the faculties hold Ph.D. degrees and they use traditional methods for teaching. There was a sufficient amount of space for innovative teaching. The exam was held twice a year and it was quite difficult.

Companies like some local automobile industry and companies like Wipro and TATA came to campus. Jobs were based on fields, like a manager and chief chemical engineer. TATA comes here for recruitment. Sometimes Wipro and some other local companies also come for recruitment. The project was based on a chemical reaction.

Generally, 80% of student gets a job after post-graduation. It depends upon the skill of the students. Three years ago Tata comes here for recruitment. Sometimes Wipro and some other local companies also come for recruitment. From the B.Ed. course, every student gets the opportunity for an internship at local schools.

The fee structure was very low considering the master course. Generally, you only cost a couple of thousand of Rupees for a year of study. Fee not hiked for several years. Other scholarships were there for needy students. In the final year, the industry came and choose a student for their company.

Every year college fest is held under different names. Last year it was named utkalika. That fest was organized in November. Different departments have different libraries. Sometimes sports are also organized among the different departments.

The room have generally two lights and two fans. A single room is provided for two students. It contains two beds, two lights, two fans, and two desks for studying. The meal is also quite good. Mess provided 4 times nonveg in a week. Hostel choice by merit list and registration process were easy. You can find a room to rent near Vani Vihar.
