Remarks

College management was not good at all. They never wanted to listen to us and I hope some day there will a student union like we have in north.

Entrance Preview

COMEDK: It will be multiple choice questions. 160 questions and each question will be of 1 mark above 100 is considered to be good score.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

It was nice but it could have been more practical based. I did Computer Science and there was a lot of theory which I never used after finishing my degree. I hope they would review and add more practical modules and industrial placements. Even projects in last semester is not intensive.

Internships Opportunities

Not at all and that sucks :(. I really feel sad that we didn't get much exposure and opportunities to look for internships but it also depends on students to look for their own. I feel sad that I was not that dedicated to look for opportunities on my own but it is ok considering I was just a teenager then.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is really good. Although not very high paying companies came to our campus but almost all eligible students got placed within 2-3 months of graduation. For example, I was placed in TCS. Then the companies I remember were Infosys, Sap labs, Oracle, Deloitte, Iflex, and many other small companies.

College Events

4

Sports Day, College Festival for 3 days(That s really nice)+1 month preparation. I don't remember the name now but I enjoyed it a lot :). We used to go to find out sponsors and sell tickets of events to other college students. No studies for 1 month. Karnataka Day celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A bit expensive but with placements I thinks its feasible. When i joined it was 85000 per year+ around 10000, Some college admin fee or examination fee. So the overall cost of the course was around 4 lakhs and I got a job of 3.15 lakhs so I think it wasn't a bad deal.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea. My parents paid for my tuition and my maintenance so I have no idea about loan facility and I was not good enough for any scholarship.

Campus Life

4

It was quite diverse as my classmates were from all around India and it makes me happy that I have friends from all parts of India now. I think the majority of students were from Karnataka since college was in Karnataka and they get preference over students from outside.

Hostel Facilities

1

It sucks and now I heard its expensive as well. I stayed there for 2 years then moved out to private accommodation. During 1st year we enjoyed a lot but later after some incidents it became like a jail. And to add on that the food there was pathetic. Chic

Alumni/Alumna

My seniors were very helping and supportive. They were always there for guidance so I feel lucky about it as our juniors didn't mix well with us so they wouldn't say the same for us.

Exam Structure

Total 8 semesters Each semester 6 modules + 2 Labs(except 8th)8th Semester 4 modules + 1 Project During course it wasn't so hectic.

Faculty

2.5

Most of them were below average but we can't expect much from B grade colleges but there were few good faculties who helped me to pursue higher studies and I did my master's from world class university. Even there I found that only few faculties are good

From 7th semester, students are eligible for internships and placements. The placements over here are good but only if you maintain your cgpa. There are various companies that come to college for placements. Placements for cse and ise are pretty good.

Teaching should be changed actually most of the faculty do the ppt reading. I would say that clad training for placements are really good. They put their effort to make us prepared. Timings would be 3hrs for semester end exam and 2hrs for mid examinations.

In the 6th, 7th and 8th sem students can able to attend the campus placement. So many companies will be visiting for campus placement. Around 50-100 companies will be visiting every year. 85% of the students will be getting placements. My plan after getting a degree is to work in an MNC company as a web developer.
