College life is the best life

To be eligible, I took the Orissa JEE and AIEEE exams. As per their ranks, I was qualified for some of the colleges, and then I had to set preferences as per my requirements. An application form is found on the respective websites. There were no reservations. The admission procedure is good. No need for improvement.

I chose this course because I was interested in this field. The faculty are good and they are helpful to the students in all the ways they possibly can. They are supportive also. The professors are well qualified, and their teaching method is more theoretical than practical because we need to pass the exams first. The exams happen twice in a year's scheduled semesters. Apart from that, there were 2 internal exams per semester for each subject.

The fee for the first year is around 70000 and then from the second year it's 60000. Fees did not hike for us in the course of four years, but newer batches have revised fees. There are no scholarships available to general students. Only backward caste people had scholarships. Financial assistance is not provided in any way, it is the other way round. We need to pay for everything. No on-campus jobs, only education.

Annual festivals and tech fests happen together during January most of the time. Sometimes it is delayed until early February. The library is okay; there are enough books for students who want to read. Classrooms have the necessary things, but labs have broken or faulty equipment, so we can't learn much from the practical labs. Several social groups and clubs exist internally among branches, but they are all student-funded.
