Remarks

It is a government college situated in Jorhat, Assam. It was established in 2009. Candidates who are willing to take admitted to this college for MBBS have to appear and qualify for NEET UG. Admission is based on the marks obtained in the NEET UG. The state government publishes a merit list every year and counseling is conducted. The application form is available during the month of July. Reservation is given to sc, St, obc based on government rules.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I joined this course as I want to be a surgeon. MBBS is tough and also its course curriculum. There are a lot of practicals and theory exams but the course curriculum balances it well. To score good marks a student has to work really hard. semester exams are conducted every 3 months and at the end of the session they conduct professional mbbs exams by University. My class has 150 students and around 24 faculty in each department. All professors are already a doctor, they are well experienced and talented. They teach us in PowerPoint .

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it is a government college there is a really big advantage that the fee of this college for MBBS is very less. The majority of the students can afford it easily. The fee for the total MBBS programme is around 85,00 INR. I do get a scholarship worth 30k per year from the ministry of the minority. Also, we get a stipend of Rs 31k per month during the internship.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest name is amphysis. It is conducted during November month. There are a lot of workshops, and seminars related to medical and health conducted by the faculty of the college or guest lecturers. There are also societies in which students can participate and showcase their talents. All medical books, and magazines are available in Library.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Being a government college there is a hostel for both boys and girls but it is not very good. The hostel fee is also very low. The food served in the mess for students is of average quality. They provide both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foodsThe rooms are also cleaned twice or thrice a week. Nearby PGs are not easily available.

Becoming a Doctor and to say proudly "Don't worry I will take care and see to your illness" dragged me to this course. Faculty: Student ratio is 1:2 Mixture of both good and bad boring teachers. We have a lot of exams in the college. It drains your soul out of you. We barely pass. After joining MBBS you stop dreaming of topping what we wish is to get the borderline marks somehow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a doctor so that I could cure people and help them to get rid of various diseases. The faculty: student ratio is approx 1:4 The faculty are highly qualified with MBBS, MD, MS, DM, March, and various other degrees done by them. The teaching process includes lectures in the classroom with the help of smart slides. Almost every month there are exams but there are internals every 3 months and finally the finals. Medical study is one of the toughest courses to pass as we need to know about a lot of different things all at once

Course Curriculum Overview:

We are having now new MCI curriculum which is slightly different from the old curriculum. I want to be a good doctor so I chose the course MBBS and this college is in my hometown. Our all professors are doctors, they have lots of experience in hospital and medical-related stuff. They teach us on the PowerPoint projector. They divide us into small groups to teach in practical classes. They conduct exams after every 3 months and at the end of the season, they conduct an annual professional exam which is very tough. Faculties are very much helpful for the students.
