Remarks

The eligibility criteria are not such as MBA I had directly got the admission. The forms for admission were available online and I filled all of them out and uploaded the necessary documents also. The application's last date was in the last week of AUG. I didn't avail any reservation benefit. Improvement in the admission process doesn't seem much. All the assistance by the college was given during admission so I was happy.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

So the reason I enrolled for the Bcom course was that along with it I wanted to pursue CMA. The teachers are up to the mark in teaching but some of them lack some knowledge in a few concepts. All have their masters done and some have doctorates as well. The teaching method is all proper. The exams were taken on the OFFEE platform online this year so it was easy otherwise written paper is somewhat hard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of my course were somewhere around 12 thousand. The overall cost to study is more because traveling expenses, any assignment printout, Blackbook expenses are all from our pocket so the cost for studying increases by a good margin. T.he scholarship through somaiya trust is available. and the placements are provided by the college in placement cell fest. Many job roles like an accountant, associate, marketing lead, and all were available. Big four companies also came in college.

Campus Life

5

Our college fest is Honer and it's organized by the cultural forum. Happens every year in the month of NOV in last week. It's very joyous and enthusiastic. The infrastructure is very cool and superb. All classes are in good condition. There is an open library and a closed library in our college. The buildings include a variety of trees. There are various games that can be played. The campus is large and versatile. The canteen is well maintained and the food is very tasty and hygenic.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.

Admission:

I entered college quite late like at the end of July. I got in on the basis of my 12th marks which were 85%. But if someone holds merit above 70% then you can easily get into MITWPU BCom program. You should apply for it beforehand and the merit lists will be declared around 2nd or 3rd week of June.
