Remarks
Although it is a aided college funded by both government and Nair Service Society, the institution has best facilities in the town. But major improvements are needed in certain areas. A swimming pool which was proposed while the construction of college began. But no such thing has yet built in the campus even after 60+ years. The gymnasium need to be renovated with latest and refined equipments. The college has only one canteen/snack spot, which has to be in multiples at different locations.
Course Curriculum Overview
During the complete B.tech course, there were 8 semesters, each semester having one main exam. Apart from the university exams there will be two internal tests, which will be conducted by the institution itself. These test were not that difficult, anyone who can start preparations before a week of exam can surely excel.
Internships Opportunities
In some semester, there will be mini-projects and presentations, which will be decided by the respective teaching staff. But it is mandatory to do the final year project, which will be done as team. It has to be presented and reviewed infront of all the staffs in the respective department. One should aim for the getting the appreciable feedback from the project committee.
Placement Experience
Many placement and internship offers are being offered by different MNC's. But I thought of going for higher studies abroad. So I didn't spoil the chance of another student getting an opportunity to have a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government scholarships for a wide sector of students are available during the academic term. The college office will guide the student, who wish to avail this. The college placement cell make tremendous effort in students getting placed in many MNC's. Internship opportunities are also available in broad range.
Campus Life
Social groups, political paties, student cell and a variety of clubs are active in the campus. On behalf of the club's, there will be different programs in the campus itself. There is also College Union, elected annually by democratic process.
