Remarks

I am a student of B.Tech Computer Science. The college is the best in Punjab, Placement is a good, peaceful environment! I suggest to another student to OPT this college. Placement Cell is very supportive, We have a placement drive every month!

Course Curriculum Overview

My elder brother is a student of the same college, he suggested I opt for computer science. the ratio of faculty and student is 30:2. Very expert faculties! All faculties are M.Tech ( some of Ph.D.). Exams are easy if you study hard!

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Multinational companies TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, CBL visited campus from time to time to select some students. The Placement Department is amazing. The placement officer is very supportive. most students get a good package after completion of the course!

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very affordable as compared to other institutes. some other institutes are charging hefty fees but they do not provide facilities. but IET, Bhaddal provided very good facilities! I got an internship during the course. I was working as a software trainee, I was getting 12,000 pm for 6 months training!

Campus Life

The Annual fees of B.Tech Computer Science are 80000/- per year. The Library is good, News magazines and Journals are there! We have AC classroom, Annual Sports meet held in sep-oct. we have a social group of students, Senior guide me on pre-exams day!

Hostel Facilities

I live in a hostel, there are AC rooms available, but if the student budget is low, they can opt cooler! the meal is fantastic. The quality of food is superb there is a simple hostel registration process. there are some PG available near college

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Interview Experience

Yes, the selection process is very simple, I called to admission helpline number, the counsellor guided me perfectly, the way of guided and counselling was amazing. they screened my documents and they enrolled me after the fulfil university norms!

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Curriculum is okayish. It has all the standard subjects but teaching method is very boring. Teachers just read from books. I picked this course purely for interest in coding but the college makes it feel like burden sometimes. Exams are predictable. Previous year papers are enough to get good marks.
