Remarks

Masters in a technical field requires an an excellent science and technical college. IIT Roorkee is one of the great options one can have. Application fee and form submission was all done online due to the pandemic. Some part of the counselling was done offline and rest again online. Application fee is different for general and other category. Admission fee is Rs. 5000. On the basis of JEE Mains score and counselling, admission process was finalized.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course duration of B.Tech is four years covering the entire concepts and practical subjects. I learnt some pretty great skills as well. Guest lectures were also organized by the faculty members of the college. Course content is very carefully structured as it is a technical one and has to be keep up with the trend. All the faculty members were Ph.D holders and published various research papers.

Course Fees: INR 213000 per year

Placement Experience

There are three phases involved in the placement procedure. In the previous year, 437 offers were made by 35 companies which included 219 pre-placement offers. The Highest CTC stood at INR 69.5 LPA, Alphonso, Amazon, Analog Devices, AppDynamics India Pvt. Ltd., Bajaj Auto Ltd., Codenation, Cohesity, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Intel Technology Pvt. Ltd., Jaguar Land Rover, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Micron Technologies Operations India LLP, Microsoft, Oracle, Qualcomm India Pvt. Ltd., Quantbox Research Pvt. Ltd., SAP Labs, Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), Sprinklr India Pvt. Ltd visited the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since IIT is a government institute, fee structure is comparatively ok as compared to other colleges (private as well). Total cost is Rs. 8.54 lakhs for four years including tuition fees. However, if you come from not so strong financial background then you can fill an application for the scholarship or a loan from the bank. All this paperwork is done on the side when filling the application form for the course.

Campus Life

Clubs are the heart of IIT. This is the one place where a student gets to showcase their talent other than academics. Undergraduate clubs are Table tennis, Foot ball and Snooker. Alaknanda club completes the triad of clubs. A lot of hustle-bustle can be seen during the sports events as well in the campus. One thing that developed over the years is my love for a healthy lifestyle, sports and fitness.

Placement Experience:

Stuiarw eligible for placement from 6th semester . There are so many companies visited such as wipro, Deloitte, hcl, tech Mahindra, TCS, and many more. Highest package of BTech is 1.24 cr and average package is 40000. Percentage of students get placed is 60%. My plan after degree is to get an good it job.

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

Pringle, The Sleep Co, Lenskart, Luscious, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, Facebook and every tech company which potentially can come have come to our college for placements. On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
