Remarks

College management needs to only and only think about how to prepare the person for the corporate world. Only intention should be to show real life scenarios through the curriculum.

Entrance Preview

CET 97.5 percentile. Choose this college as it had detailed subjects in its curriculum. Also college was known for good companies visiting for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

First year were basic subjects. Second year had specialisation - Marketing. We had advance of computers also as a subject and we had ecommerce too. Best was market research which helped you reach out to the market and see the world outside.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was primarily to fill the companies need gap for the required period of month. It did not teach much into the subject but gave a gist of how the corporate world works. Stipend offered was 5000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

80% of the students were placed. Zee TV - 5 lakhs, Vodafone - 4.75 lakhs, India Bulls - 4 lakhs, Star TV - 6 lakhs, Airtel - 4 lakhs and many more companies came for campus placement.

College Events

3.5

Cultural was called MET Utsav and was very big in scale and used to draw a lot of media attention too. Management festival were desgined by me where in we used to have a lot of management games.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive - 2.10 lakhs per year For 2 years - 4.2 lakhs, Structure was more in relation with management and tution fees. Loan facility was also available. Fee was expensive compared to others colleges but the infrastructure of the college was very good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was available and few also got refunded based on past performances and achievements. Few of my friends got the scholarship and were refunded 1 lakh in each year.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life is all about people management. You see a lot of ups and downs with people, study and jobs. Labs, Sports, Competitions are all that help you emerge into an all rounder and complete package for the outside world.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Food was good as it was a cafeteria and was outsourced to a good Shetty vendor. It had options: Fast food to normal thali. Juices and maggi counter (which was started by one of the students inhouse).

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni always had high regards but the standard of the college always kept going down. Even now the standard of the entrance exams and the process of admission is not black and white and a lot of donations would be taking place.

Exam Structure

Exams were 2 a year. Days were hectic but sometimes professors used to not turn up so those days used to become chilled out.

Faculty

3

Some were very good and some were ok. The visiting faculty always used to be good, internal faculty were sub-standard in their teaching methods. Standards fell down in the second year as the priority was always given to first year students.

Placement Experience:

The average Lpa of the college is 9 lpa so it is good. Marketing gets 100% placement as compared to other streams. There is booth on campus and off campus placement. And the placement cells bring good companies and there are chances of PPO also.

College management is not that good, which I felt is need to be improved. making everything student centric makes it difficult for students as well as college to be organised.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
